Some people decided against fixing their credit for $100 because they needed the money for their birthday celebration. Some people because they didn't want to pay for credit monitoring and it's a bunch of other weird reasons.

Starting a business? Most people set it up wrong and then wonder why the banks say no. 👀

Here’s the do vs don’t 👇

1️⃣ Don’t run it as a sole proprietor or DBA. Form an LLC.
2️⃣ Don’t use your home address or a PO box. Get a real business address. (Comment ADD and I’ll send you the one I recommend.)
3️⃣ Don’t use your personal cell or free Google Voice. Get a real business line listed in 411.
4️⃣ Don’t use @gmail or @yahoo. Get a branded email with your business name and a real website.
5️⃣ Don’t pay a website for your EIN. Get it free on IRS.gov, and get your free D-U-N-S number too.
6️⃣ Don’t take a merchant cash advance. Go after PG funding from real banks and credit unions.
7️⃣ Don’t use Cash App or PayPal as your business bank. Open business checking at a bank you want funding from.

Set it up right the first time and the funding conversation gets a whole lot easier. 💰

Most lenders don't pull the same credit bureau every time. It depends on what state you live in.

So you apply thinking they'll pull Experian, and they hit your Equifax instead. That's how people stack 6 inquiries on one report without knowing it.

But 5 lenders are predictable. They pull the same bureau almost everywhere. Know those 5 and you can plan around them.

A 700 credit score does NOT guarantee you’ll be approved for a bank account.

If you’ve been denied a checking account or business bank account, your ChexSystems report could be the reason.

ChexSystems is a specialty consumer reporting agency that tracks deposit-account history. Your report may include:

• Bank accounts closed against your will
• Unpaid overdrafts or negative balances
• Suspected fraudulent activity
• Inaccurate information from a previous bank
• Multiple recent bank-account applications

If you’re denied, don’t keep applying everywhere. Multiple applications won’t correct the real problem.

Instead:

1. Request your ChexSystems Consumer Disclosure Report.
2. Review every bank, balance, date, and reason listed.
3. Dispute information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or not yours.
4. Send supporting evidence to ChexSystems and the reporting bank.
5. Resolve legitimate balances and confirm how the account will be updated.
6. Verify the correction before applying for another account.

This matters even more for business owners. Problems in your personal banking history may prevent you from opening the business bank accounts needed to build strong banking relationships and qualify for business funding.

ChexSystems repair is not the same as traditional credit repair. You have to address the banking data directly.
