2024 in skating 😌

This year involved a lot of radical change, (very) good and (very) bad. Grateful to have had skating and the community to keep me grounded through it.
The change in my skating is also rather noticeable. After smashing my face into a ramp I landed SO many dream tricks and became more confident, funny how that happens

Anyway, I feel like this song pairs so perfectly with the video and how I feel, I got emotional watching this with the music. Happy 2025! by @certainly_fi

I know I don’t post a lot now (I would love to post skating again but I’m taking my time and letting myself move past some complicated feelings :D)

Ren faire day is one of my favorite days of the year <3 this is the fourth year in a row going with @mollyspurg, and I’m so grateful to have these little traditions together that we’ve kept up!

We also saw a baby snapping turtle! It ended up far from the water and in a heavy traffic area so we relocated it to just outside a body of water that was very close by :)

Last year was a lot of change, some were good, some I hated. I spent so much time feeling lonely, wondering why things weren’t the same as they were the year before

But looking back, I’m very grateful for the friends I saw, for the autumn traditions we kept, for new friends in the form of coworkers, and for @unfunny_comedy for being the solid ground I can stand on when things feel shaky.

This year, I will do my best to embrace change and to let go when needed. I will enjoy new hobbies like climbing, and skate through change

Annual Ren Faire day🍂 Amazing day no notes!

Highlight was getting to see @tinygirlbigshow perform after seeing her in 2013 when I was around 14 at my first Ren faire! My love of these fairs started there, and so much has changed but that hasn’t :) by @certainly_fi

So grateful to be able to visit this gorgeous place again and have some time with friends finally.
Skating is community and joy, so I focused on that and didn’t stress too much about the rest🙂‍↕️

Just posting some random things to feel connected again. Skating has been more rare since it’s been cold and I’m not as much of a fan of indoor skating

However seeing friends to skate is extremely healing and fills me with joy still❤️ by @certainly_fi
