@thetraka Adventure, 560km of brutal climbs, sketchy descents in the dark and endless flats. It took me a couple of days to un-fry my brain after cycling for 34 hours straight without sleep. Once again the brain shows that pain is easily forgotten, and I'm thinking back to the beautiful views, the sunrise after 9 hours of darkness, the relief of a climb after a 100km flat section, and all the amazing downhills. I feel blessed for the health and condition of my body for this achievement and I love the feeling of pushing my own boundaries. For sure I won't touch my bike for a while (at least this week 😛), and I hope I don't convince myself to do the same thing next year. But for sure, this experience tingles the joy and excitement of adventure and it makes me long for more of this type of suffering... 🫡

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. That's the power of collaboration and it’s what we experienced during endless conversations about our own projects, where we were fascinated by each other’s knowledge and perspectives.

We realized that this excitement and open exchange of knowledge is exactly the kind of interaction needed to bring great ideas to life. That’s why we started NeuroTechHub.

Today, we are proud to officially launch our website and community, and we invite everyone to become part of it. Read more about our vision and motivation in our very first blog post!

Is there a dr. in the room?! 🎓

This week marked the end of a long and incredible chapter in my life. After 11 years in Delft, I successfully defended my PhD thesis — and we celebrated with a big party on Friday!

I’m incredibly grateful for all the amazing friends I made along the way. It was heartwarming to see so many of you come together to share this special moment with me. A huge thank you to @csvink and @stefandebruin_ for organizing the celebration and for the amazing presentation revealing all the different faces of Cesc — no secrets left behind.

The party was also my goodbye to Delft and the Netherlands. A new chapter now begins in Barcelona!
So, if you ever long for Mediterranean sun, food, or gezelligheid, come visit me — I’ll always have a comfy couch waiting for you.

Started the new year in Tallinn & Rakvere ❄️

Utrecht Ultra 2024 🚵‍♂️

Finished my first ultra cycling race! By completing the course of 990km with 7000m elevation within 59 hours, I managed to finish in 23rd position overall. I definitely underestimated many parts of the race (the hills, the lack of sleep & the challenge to find water points in Belgium), but I'm very proud of this achievement. The route passing through Huy, Bouillon and Monschau was beautiful and verrry hilly.
I need a couple of days of sleep to recover, but I'm pretty sure this won't be my last time participating in such a race! by @cesc96
