Happy Valentine’s Day! Do you ever just want to run away from society with one special person? I almost succeeded.

I took a break from social media for a year and then spent another one just lurking, but I’m slowly making my way back into the world.

Let me introduce you to just one of many songs off of a project I’ve been keeping a secret the last couple years, Skateboarding on Saturn. I entered into this year’s @npr #tinydeskcontest to kick off the beginning of my new era.

If you want to run away with your boo so you can have them all to yourself, have a little bit of “save the world” attitude in you toward protecting our planet and/or are scared shitless about what’s going on in the world and are dreaming of better days, this song is for you!

Bye for now💫

My boyfriend’s father was born in Vietnam and was adopted a couple years later to be raised in Philly. He has always wanted to one day go back to Vietnam and experience what it would be like to have lived there. He asked me to record a custom cover for him with Billy Joel’s “Vienna”, but with the title changed to “Vietnam” as a reminder that he will one day get to fulfill his dream of getting to go to Vietnam.

I was hesitant to share this project because there are a million things I would change given the skill level to bring it up to professional standards, but I’m so proud of what I’ve learned since starting this project last year and what it means to him. Ultimately, I’ve decided to meet myself where I’m at and I want to celebrate how far I’ve come on my production journey! Should I post this to SoundCloud? I’d love to hear your thoughts as casual listeners or music industry professionals!

A special thanks to @shellshockmultimedia for helping with the mix of this song!

This year was both challenging and exciting for me as a musician. I practiced more than I ever have, played my first festivals, increased my streams on Spotify and released another song. I also realized how much further I need to come if I want to keep seeing more success. Being able to see and talk to some of the greatest bands of all time and travel to some of the most beautiful places in the world was one of the best inspirations for just how good it can get. Can’t wait to level up in 2023! 🤘🏼

Then vs. Now 💫

For only having released two songs in the past two years, I’m so proud of these numbers. I’m growing slow and steady. The power of the internet to be able to reach people across the world is something my 13 year old self would have never been able to fathom. All I’ve ever wanted is to connect with people in ways only music could bring to me as a kid and even now. Thank you to everyone who has listened. I hope to be able to put out more music more frequently for you next year. 💜

Happy Friday! It’s been almost 1 month since “Make it Right” came out and it’s officially over 1,000 streams! Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart!
As the sole marketer/PR person on this release, I’m so proud of what I’m building completely independently!

Thank you to @oliviadavis1180 @pioneerrecs for helping with my cover art/branding and thank you to @imjasonrobinson for coming out to every show I do and helping out whenever you can! Thank you to all the incredible musicians and engineers that worked on this song. Thank you to every person who put this song on their playlist, wrote about it and thank you to every one of you listening. It means the world. 💜

What do you think of the song so far and what kind of song should I put out next? The link is in my bio to listen!
