POSTS STORIES REELS

Six years ago today.

Flipped my world upside down, and then some.

This year, more complicated than the others.

Our abuser, who was released from jail after accepting a plea deal in 2021, was given probation for life with sex offender terms as a part of his sentencing.

However, he continues to break that probation time and time again landing him back in jail for months at a time.

Even with some of the best resources for sexual therapy this man continues to hurt others, and the system working to help him.

Lord, please protect anyone near the hands of Alfredo Morales Jr. by @cetetreault

ATTENTION ARIZONA WOMEN: Watch out for this man. He is the person who attacked, sexually assaulted, and attempted to kidnap my best friend and I while running at Tempe Town Lake. His name is Alfredo Morales Jr. and he also goes by Freddy Fresh with Another Fresh Production. At the time of the attack he was “living” or sleeping at the lake. He’s been in jail for a year and a half and this morning at 8am he was released. The legal process after the attack has been draining, to say the least. But today, the most important thing for me to do is to let others know to watch out. This man is not just an abuser, but a predator.

Women: please be on the lookout.
Everyone: please pray He finds Jesus and asks for redemption in his life, and pray I may get to the phase of forgiveness

La Catrina de Oakland

Growing up in the Southwest altars, Catrina’s, and marigolds are a part of the Fall season and all Halloween celebrations. I’ve been fortunate enough to see some incredibly beautiful and grand Día de Los Muertos displays.

However, nothing like this.

Standing 34 feet tall, this sculpture was handcrafted by more than 30 Mexican artisans from Artsumex in Tultepec, Mexico, and traveled over 2,000 miles to Oakland.

Commissioned by The Unity Council, her details include monarch butterflies, California poppies, and the words “Aquí estamos y no nos vamos” (We are here and we’re not leaving).

A little look at 2026 wedding SZN by @cetetreault

Regardless of what size purse I’m wearing, I always have a self defense item on me before I leave the house.

Two of my friends are getting married this weekend, so I have been heading into San Francisco for their parties which means that I am dressed up and wearing a smaller bag or a clutch.

A few things I ALWAYS transition to my smaller bags that I can take in almost anywhere:
- @invisawear bracelet
- @shopknockout.co ring
- @sabresafety spray

For the girls and folks who transition their bags for fancier evenings 🤗

Such a fun way to end the work day: getting into pj’s, snacking on popcorn, and getting cozy.

Plus: a fun surprise having @angelinaonair on air hosting a raffle supporting @fabulosobooks

Cruel or comedic?

Which is it? Can cruelty be humor? Or does humor stop at crude before crossing the line into cruel? Where are the boundaries of comedy?

I had no idea who Shane Gillis was until Sunday. (That’s not a dig at the comedian; I’m just inept at keeping up with entertainment news.)

What a way to be introduced to someone’s comedy: drowning in replays of his voice repeating how women “dress like whores.”

What I first noticed in his stand-up:
The comment didn’t seem to be a joke.
It wasn’t delivered in a sarcastic tone.
It didn’t have a witty follow-up.
The crowd didn’t erupt in large amounts of genuine laughter.

It was just a statement comparing the way women dress in a paid, service-based space meant for excessive sweating and intense focus to people who solicit sex. (Condemning someone for their occupation, regardless of personal opinions, is a whole other topic.)

Without sharing my opinion about the comment or debating what women should or shouldn’t wear to a gym, I can tell you one thing:

Women dressing in tight-fitting, body-sculpting clothes, often made with significantly less fabric than men’s clothing, isn’t anything new.

Leotards? Invented in the 1800s.
Thong leotards? A wild trend in the ’80s.
Sports bras as tops? Trends of the ’80s and ’90s.

Regardless, what a woman is or is not wearing at the gym does not equate her to an occupation, nor does either determine her worth.

As a woman who’s worked out her entire life, across many different forms of exercise and athletic disciplines, I can tell you one thing:
If an athlete is distracted by what you’re wearing, they aren’t paying enough attention to their own workout.

Period. Point blank.

All of this raises the question: Why are our bodies always subjected to your unsolicited opinions?
