I came to learn that siyaha (a Sufi wandering, a practice on the Sufi path of the Karkariya order which is a spiritual path of Islam centered on the journey toward knowing God and the realization of the Divine Light within the heart) is more than wandering through the land.

Walking with dhikr (God’s remembrance), moving through creation, you slowly begin to walk inward too. To others, you are simply a stranger passing by.. unknown, unnoticed, almost nothing. And perhaps that is part of the gift.

With no identity to hold onto, no one to impress, and nowhere to belong, your attention turns inward: to the heart, to the self, and ultimately to God.

Every step becomes remembrance. Every landscape becomes a mirror. Every moment of being a stranger becomes an invitation to know who you truly are. And, through that knowing, to know God. And perhaps that is the ultimate freedom.. to belong completely to God and to be free from everything else.

People think every journey ends with treasure.
Mine ended with a question. Or perhaps..
it began there.

No map could lead there.
No ship could sail there.
No kingdom could claim it.
It revealed itself only to those who had nothing left to chase except the truth.

Somewhere between waking and dreaming, there is a place with no gravity and no name. There’s only drift. No weight. No rush. Soft light. I don’t know how long I’ve been floating. Time moves differently in the in-between.. 💫✨

There was a version of me that walked into the dark on purpose. I stayed longer than I meant to. The dark has a way of feeling safe once you’re inside it. No expectations, no noise, no need to arrive anywhere. But even the deepest void has an edge, If you’re patient enough to find it. This is that edge. This is the moment just before stepping back into the light. Still half in shadow, still carrying the quiet with me, but moving forward.. I don’t come back the same as I left. None of us do. But I come back.
