Cezar’s [@cezar.1999] work explores the complexities of human nature and the psyche, constructing an abstracted reality through expressive forms and evocative subject matter. His compositions feature distorted figures rendered in textured layers of paint. By diluting and sanding the surface, he uncovers a sense of depth, raw emotion and psychological intensity. He works predominantly with an obscure yet thoughtfully balanced colour palette, merging complementary tones to achieve both structural integrity and visual harmony.
This approach encourages viewers to look beneath the surface, not just of the canvas, but of themselves. Through intentional abstraction and distortion, Cezar shapes a visual world informed by deep inner exploration, speaking directly to individual experiences and shared universal truths.
