Given the nature of graphite and prolonged exposure to the ☀️, it could likely be the cause of why you're unable to break down your rod at the end of the day. Here are some tips that may help. Because having to send your rod in for repairs and flying with a 2pc spey rod is annoying.

But if you maybe have been thinking of getting a guided trip here and you maybe think Burkheimer rods are some of the best you can buy. ATTENTION!

The time has come, in proud partnership with @cfburkheimer we are doing a drawing!

Rules are simple; the first person to book a trip each day for the month of September 2026 will go into a drawing. Each day booked will get you a ticket. (Example, book 2 days get 2 tickets. 4 days, 4 tickets) for a total possible 29 tickets. The 26th of September will be closed to the drawing as we will be at the Clearwater spey clave put on with @poppycummins and @houseofflyusa

The winners name will be drawn out of a hat on the 26th by none other than Kerry Burkheimer at the @cfburkheimer booth.

The winner will take home a beautiful 14’2” 8wt Burkheimer spey rod.

I will be putting up real time calendar periodically to show you all what days are still available!

This year we are thrilled Brian Chou @loopdrop77 will be giving an on water presentation on “Lift, Drift and Launch.”

Brian will explain the different types of lifts, followed by the drift towards the top of the d loop.

With over 25 years in product design, Brian has helped shape and innovate the fly fishing world through creativity and mentorship. Known for his relatable teaching style and ability to articulate the details of the cast to both new and experienced anglers, he now works alongside Kerry Burkheimer @cfburkheimer to craft some of the finest fly rods in the world.
