You train, you work, you tend to your loved ones, you train, you work, you don’t sleep, you train, you work, you have no time to meal prep, you’re stressed, you train, you work, you train, you work aaaaaaand you get hurt 🤕 That’s the beginning of the cycle….🔃 Here it comes: You take a couple of days off You feel it, but it doesn’t hurt so bad You decide to try it It hurts You try again the next day and you are wearing a belt It feels better 2 days later you start “training normally” It hurts worse, you quit the workout Frustrated, devastated, you decide ok I don’t wanna eat since “I’m not working out as hard” Next week, you try again, nothing changed but it’s a different day and it keeps going on and on and on and on, till eventually, you stop exercising all together, because it’s not fun anymore. Life happens, balances get distorted, that’s real… But that’s just as real as you not having Wolverine’s healing powers… Take time off the hurt part Mobilize around it Seek medical help Rehab the injured part, and keep rehabbing, it’s not a bandaid Slowly and very slowly start loading it Sometimes range of motion has to change a bit or max effort has to be capped, and all that is better than eventually not moving! Your body does not have a built in AI to run your healing without you being in charge of it. Fuel your fitness by fueling your healing and recovery by @cfgreaterheights
Hump day vibes for real today Taking on a challenging workout every so often is very beneficial to reset perspective and find new appreciation to what our bodies can do! We get comfortable, we get confident and we get bored with what we have achieved and accomplished if there is nothing new to challenge that. Presenting a set of challenging workouts every so often, pokes holes and re-checks egos, leaving athletes in a shifted perspective about level of difficulty, how they could endure what they didn’t think they could and transfers any ego into productive confidence and motivation “Any given Sundae” 4 rounds: 25 Wallballs (20/14)(11’/10’) 15 Toes to bar 25/20 cal. echo bike 15 V-ups 4 Rope Climbs by @cfgreaterheights
Life gets busy often, but we’ll always find time to celebrate milestones… Wishing our last Cole sister @seviecole the best in her next chapter! We will miss you, but we know you’re gonna crush it! “The last of the Coles” In teams of 2, perform 4 rounds each (you go I go) 3 power snatch (135/95) 12 pull ups 6 overhead squats (135/95) 6 bar muscle ups by @cfgreaterheights
