Shenanigans of Horseshoe Hell. Always a little sad to not be competing but glad to be spectating and hanging with some of my favorite people! Another 4 nights of camping with Leona. Special thanks to Nathaniel (Tony), Mary Ashley (Aunt Mashley), and Richard for all the assists! And thanks to everyone else who interacted with us and made raising a tiny human feel a little less demanding for a moment or two. Oh to be so well loved and so supported. 🥰

Talia and Jaro offered to hang with Leona from pre-dawn on.

Matt and Tom left it up to me to choose our climb.

So I finally got on Grandmothers Challenge 10c in Eldo. After a few weeks of barely climbing, and only the approach pitch to warm up. I more or less aided the roof, but I did all the moves and had a great time figuring out all the pieces (more the mental security of the gear than the moves themselves). Definitely a line I’d like to come back to, and lead in better style!

Then we topped off our trip with a visit from my childhood babysitter and we got to introduce her to Leona for the first time.

Camping and hiking at Peaceful Valley lived up to its name. Thanks Talia for facilitating so many fun activities! Taking crayon rubbings of plants and textures was extra fun. 🤩 by @cfittell

Testing out gear on a training hike to backpack into the Wind River Range in a few weeks! Brainard Lake is always a hit, and hiking with friends makes it even better. This year we remembered a swim suit for Leona but forgot sandals for the adults! Thanks for a great hike, Talia! And peep the matching outfit with Jaro. 🥰 by @cfittell
