Hi! I’m Crissy! 👋🏼🌷

I’m a lifelong creative, maker, and lover of beautiful things—and I’m so glad you’re here.

C. Freeman Art & Design started as a place for me to create simply for the joy of making. What began as an outlet for all the ideas swirling around in my head has grown into a little collection of linocut prints, handmade goods, custom designs, and whatever else I feel inspired to make next.

I’m a wife, mama of two, pelvic health physical therapist, photographer, and lifelong maker. I’ve always loved creating—whether it was jewelry, pottery, furniture, photography, or now, hand-carved prints.

My inspiration comes from the world around me. My heritage. The people I know and love. My work. Childhood memories. Family life. Plants, flowers, colors, shapes, and even the random little things that simply make me happy.

Every piece has a story, and every hand-carved, hand-inked, hand-pressed print is a little different. That’s part of the magic.

The moment of truth. ✨

This is when the risk of cutting up the block finally pays off.

With a jigsaw print, each section is inked separately and then carefully pieced back together before printing. I love watching the puzzle come together—individual colors and shapes becoming one finished image with a single pull.

And I have to say, I’m absolutely loving this sunflower. 🌻 The golden yellow petals, rich green leaves, and crisp black details create such a striking contrast. Seeing these colors come together has made this one a favorite.

This one is definitely getting framed and added to my own gallery wall. 💛🌻

The Joyful Sparrow 🩵
…in the dreamiest shades of light blue, deep green, and sunny yellow.

There’s something special about watching this little sparrow come to life with fresh ink.

She was inspired by my daughter, my sweet J Bird—joyful, adventurous, and free. But every detail in this print has meaning.

The olive branch she carries is almost too big for her, a reminder that life will bring heavy seasons and strong winds. Still, she keeps flying.

As I roll on each layer of ink, I’m reminded that we’re all carrying something. My prayer is that this little sparrow encourages you to keep pressing forward with courage, joy, and hope, trusting the One who carries you.

Sometimes the heaviest things we carry become the very things that lead us home. 🕊️🩵

✨ The Leap ✨

There’s just something about watching that metallic Cranfield gold ink hit the block… DREAMY. ✨

Featuring our favorite cow mid-leap, a field of stars, rolling fields, and that perfect little golden moon. 🐄🌙⭐️

An 8x10 print, this one feels like it was made for a sweet little nursery — playful, whimsical, and just a little bit magical.

And yes… I could watch that gold ink roll on all day. 💛

POV: your favorite houseplant just became a linocut. 🌿

Meet the Mod Pilea — and I think she might be my favorite in the Mod Houseplant series so far. 👀

Watching this jigsaw block come together is one thing, but seeing the ink hit all those little pieces? SO satisfying.

Fun fact: I have a Pilea at home that is over 4 feet tall. 😂 So naturally, it was only a matter of time before she made her way into the series.

One plant at a time, this little collection is growing. 🌱

I don’t think I’ll ever get over this color combo. 😍🌿

That custom lime + terracotta pairing ended up being PERFECTION. Bold, funky, a little unexpected—and exactly what I pictured for this plant.

One of my favorite parts of making these prints? Watching a sketch transform into something completely different once the ink hits the block.

The Mod Houseplant series just keeps growing… 🌱

This is the part where I cut my perfectly good linocut into pieces. 😅🌿

Cutting the Mod Ric Rac into its final jigsaw pieces and prepping this baby to be inked in TWO colors!

Once these pieces are separated, each one gets its own ink color—and then the real magic happens when they come back together for the print. ✨

I cannot WAIT to see this funky little plant come to life!

Meet the Mod Ric Rac — inspired by my very own Ric Rac cactus and all those wonderfully funky, wiggly shapes.

There’s just something about watching a design slowly emerge from a block that never gets old. ✨

Now for the really fun part… seeing this one come alive in ink. 👀

Meet the newest print in my Mod Houseplant series: The Mod Ric Rac! 🌵

I’m completely obsessed with my Ric Rac cactus, so naturally, I had to turn those funky zig-zag shapes into a print.

A little peek at the design transfer process—sketching, flipping, burnishing, and transferring the design onto the block before carving begins.

And honestly… I’m already obsessed with these shapes. 😍

Now let’s see what happens when I start carving. ✨

Meet The Delft Duo!

This little jigsaw linocut was inspired by one of my favorite tiny duos: a classic Delft salt + pepper shaker set. 💙

There’s just something about Delft blue + white that gets me every. single. time.
