Here’s to forever ♾

A huge chunk of the male population in America have friendships built around shared activities, work, sports, or going out. Those connections matter, but they don't always leave room for the conversations that go a little deeper.

For a lot of men, learning to talk openly about what they're feeling and experiencing is a skill they never really got the chance to develop.

Building meaningful friendships takes more than spending time together. It takes learning how to let someone in.

What do you think keeps men from developing deeper connections with each other?

Can you be present amongst the little things?

Is it always something BIG that you require or that you need to feel in integrity or alive?

The little things can get lost. That can get lost, AND they can stack.

Who are you and how do you respond then when life continues to stack?

When your boy says something wild? How you’re showing up in relationship?

These are type of convos we’re going to have Saturday at Into The Fire and we’re excited for it. Would love to see you there, link in bio! by @cgartrell

Tucson needs men who are willing to risk an uncomfortable conversation for the safety and well-being of someone else.

Last time, nearly 50 men showed up for Into the Fire and leaned all the way in. A beautiful group willing to be honest, challenge themselves, and grow together.

Now we’re back for Round 2: CALLING MEN IN.

We’re moving from who we need to be to how we can show up for others—especially when showing up gets difficult.

I know a lot of men who care deeply about breaking intergenerational cycles, creating safety and justice for women, and being more present partners, fathers, and friends.

And yet, a lot of those same men freeze when another man crosses a line.

What do I say?
What if he gets defensive?
What if it costs me the friendship?

That fear deserves an honest conversation. And we need to build the skills to act through it.

How do we challenge a friend toward greater integrity? Interrupt behavior that causes harm? Hold another man accountable with both courage and care—and stay open when he holds up that same mirror to us?

That’s what we’re coming together to practice.

Four hours of movement, honest conversation, practical skill-building, challenge, and brotherhood.

Our partners, children, friends, and neighbors are affected by what we do—and by what we let slide. This work matters far beyond the room.

Come practice with us. Bring a man you want to do this work alongside.

BETTER MEN. SAFER COMMUNITIES. by @cgartrell

I know a lot of men who are deeply committed to interrupting intergenerational cycles.

Men who want safety and justice for women.
Who are trying to share equally in the labor of their families.
Who are learning to heal, communicate, and be emotionally present.
Who genuinely want to show up differently than the men who came before them.

And yet, a lot of those same men freeze when another man in their life is being problematic.

They see it. They feel it. They know something isn’t right.

But saying something—especially to a friend, brother, coworker, teammate, or another man we respect—can be fucking scary.

And caring about safety and justice doesn’t automatically give us the skills to navigate that moment.

We have to build them.

We need to learn how to recognize what’s happening, trust ourselves enough to act, tolerate the discomfort of confronting another man, and know what to actually say when the moment comes.

And we need other men to practice that with.

Because if we want to create safety for the women and children in our lives, we can’t only know what we believe.

We have to become capable of acting on it when it costs us something.

That’s part of what we’re coming together to practice at Into the Fire: A Tucson Men’s Event.

The 4th Annual Style Swap was everything we prayed it would be and more.

Before we even opened the doors, people were already waiting in line. From 11 AM to 3 PM, Gym @two_forty_four was filled with families shopping, volunteers serving, and our incredible barbers and hairstylists working nonstop to provide 55 free haircuts to our community.

For the first time in 4 years, we almost completely sold out. Every rack was shopped, every pair of shoes found a home, and we were left with only 2 bags of clothing at the end of the day.

But the clothes were never the point.

The heart of this event has always been the people.

To every volunteer who sorted clothes, held babies, greeted families, checked people in, cleaned up, set up, tore down, and stepped in wherever you were needed, thank you. To our barbers, hairstylists, DJ, Solid Grinds, and everyone at Gym 244 who showed up in such a big way, you made people feel seen, loved, and valued. Your gifts and servant hearts are what make this event so special.

God gave me the vision for the Style Swap four years ago, but it takes an entire community saying “yes” to bring it to life. I will never take that for granted.

Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, shared the event, and walked through our doors. We heard so many stories today from people who simply said, “We needed this.” That’s why we do it.

We’ll see you next year. Until then… start saving those donations. ❤️ by @cgartrell

So grateful for the Tucson community helping us spread the word! @newsbyness_ always comes through to help share these events and we’re beyond grateful for that!

We are only a few days away from set up (July 25th 12pm @two_forty_four) and we are 4 days away from the main event!

Thank you for continuing to make this possible each year & huge shoutout to everyone volunteering! For more information head to my page to see the flyer it has everything you want to know about the event, volunteering and the incredible businesses volunteering their time! by @cgartrell

It’s officially Style Swap Week! (Zoom in for all details)

This Sunday, we’re opening the doors for one of our favorite community events of the year, and we’d love your help spreading the word.

The 4th Annual Style Swap is completely FREE and open to everyone. We’ll have free men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing and shoes, complimentary haircuts from incredible local barbers and hairstylists (first come, first served), live music from DJ Wang, and Solid Grinds Hawaiian BBQ available for purchase.

This event exists because of the generosity of our community. Every donated clothing item, every volunteer, every business partner, and every share helps us reach someone who could truly benefit from it.

Please help us get this in front of as many people as possible by:
• Sharing this post to your story
• Tagging a friend or family member
• Sending it to someone who may need clothing or a fresh haircut
• Inviting your coworkers, church, school, or community groups

You never know who might be praying for an opportunity just like this.

We’ll see you Sunday, July 26, at 11:00 AM at Gym 244.

Thank you, Tucson, for continuing to show what community looks like. Let’s make this our biggest Style Swap yet. by @cgartrell

Our Annual Style Swap is back, and we can’t wait to serve our Tucson community again.

Sunday, July 26, 2026
11:00 AM
Gym 244
244 S Tucson Blvd
Tucson, AZ 85716

This is a completely FREE shopping event where anyone can come find clothing they need. Whether it’s back-to-school outfits, interview clothes, everyday essentials, or just a fresh start, everyone is welcome.

But we need your help.

This event only happens because of your donations. If you have gently loved clothing that you would proudly wear again, we’d love to have it. Please donate items that are clean, free of rips, stains, and odors. Every donation helps us create a beautiful boutique-style shopping experience for someone who needs it.

We’re also looking for:
• Local barbers and hairstylists willing to provide free haircuts on July 26 (any amount of time helps!)

• Local businesses that would like to partner by donating hygiene items or volunteering their services

• Volunteers on July 25, starting at 12pm, to help set up and transform the gym into a boutique

• Volunteers on July 26 to welcome guests, organize clothing, answer questions, assist with the haircut area, and help with cleanup afterward

Any clothing that isn’t claimed will be donated to local Tucson organizations serving men, women, and children in need.

A huge thank you to our WYMN Collective team for organizing this event and to Gym 244 for generously opening their doors and hosting us.

If you’d like to donate, volunteer, or collaborate, please send us a message. Let’s come together and remind our community that no matter what season of life you’re in, you’re not alone.

Please share this post so we can reach as many people as possible. by @cgartrell
