After climbing the steep narrow staircase of the "ROLOI" CLOCK TOWER in the OLD TOWN, I was rewarded with this amazing view across to the TOURIST HARBOUR. It was a bit of a hazy day but you can at least imagine the view!!! taken in Rhodes Old Town Greece by @cgibsonkantis

Built in 1857 by FETHI PASHA the impressive "ROLOI" CLOCKTOWER located on the highest point of the OLD TOWN deserves a visit!! A steep narrow staircase enables you to climb to the top of the clocktower and enjoy a 360 degree view of both the New & Old Towns. An extra plus point when several cruise ships are docked in the Tourist Harbour. In the evenings the clocktower is lit up and creates a lovely atmosphere. taken in Rhodes Old Town Greece by @cgibsonkantis

There are plenty of garden-pavement restaurants and cafes to discover in the OLD TOWN OF RHODES. Some are lining the main streets and squares whilst others are quietly tucked away in pebbled corners or alleyways. A morning trip into RHODES OLD TOWN today 15/09/2026. There were plenty of visitors enjoying the highlights including the GRAND MASTER'S PALACE, STREET OF THE KNIGHTS, ARCHAELOGICAL MUSEUM & SOCRATES STREET for shopping. I had decided beforehand to revisit the ROLOI CLOCKTOWER and was not disappointed. Photos to follow on another Post!! taken in Rhodes - Greece by @cgibsonkantis

The only way I will recall Summer 2026 is by the phrase "The Lost Summer". Family health issues that demanded intensive researching as to which medical procedures were the best to follow. Google always pointed us in the right direction and we are forever grateful. Continuous hot days over 34C demanded we stayed mainly indoors until the sticky balmy evenings set in. Thankfully, in the garden we were entertained by three mother cats and their young ones. Simple things like empty boxes and flowerpots made play more meaningful. Autumn is finally around the corner and I am more than enthusiastic in being able to travel to Rhodian locations and catchup on my photography!! taken in Rhodes, Greece by @cgibsonkantis

The waterfront of MANDRAKI HARBOUR (NEW TOWN) always fascinates me!! Depending on the hour, day or season you can always enjoy a different view!! I try to imagine how many millions of visitors over the years, who sat on the wrought iron benches and enjoyed taking in the beauty of the harbour. taken in Mandraki Harbour, Rhodes Town by @cgibsonkantis

A quick trip into RHODES NEW TOWN this morning 26/05/2026 with the local bus. Although the bus (coach style layout) was pretty much full, the air condition made the journey very comfortable. MANDRAKI HARBOUR is located behind the Bus Terminal. Lots of visitors enjoying this sunny Tuesday morning with an expected high temperature of 26C by mid-day. taken in Mandraki Harbour, Rhodes Town by @cgibsonkantis
