I stand ten toes down on @cgk_2.0 being one of the best restaurants in town. There has never been a dish here that I have tried and didn't love. They have some incredible specials going on right now and needed to share with you guys. If you do anything at all, please try the cast iron shrimp. PLEASE. My personal burger list. Not a ranking. Just the spots I actually go back to.
@cgk_2.0 — the one I cook. Wagyu blend, cheddar, house pickles, secret sauce. We do it our way.
@camphorla — that Arts District burger is serious. Dry-aged, duck fat, the whole thing.
@fathersofficeofficial — still the one that changed the conversation. Dry-aged beef, caramelized onions, Gruyère, blue cheese, no ketchup, no notes.
@mooscraftbarbecue — Thicc Smoked. Brisket patty. Different from everybody else on this list and that’s why it belongs.
@tinys_burger — Sang’s new one. Smaller, looser, still dry-aged. I respect the move.
@forthewinla — smash done right. Lacy edges, potato bun, sauce. When that’s what you want, this is it.
@amboy_qualitymeats — Slim Thicc or the DH. Alvin’s meat is the point. Chinatown plaza, no pretension.
@petittroisla — Big Mec. Bordelaise, two patties, fork and knife. Decadent on purpose.
Different styles. Different neighborhoods. All of them earn the drive.

Friday night at CGK.
Weekend specials are locked in:
Heirloom tomato salad — peak-season tomatoes, ripe and sweet, with a little acidity and good olive oil. Simple on purpose.
Shrimp paella — fideo toasted in a cast iron skillet with Spanish chorizo and fat gulf shrimp. No rice. Just noodles, saffron, and that crispy bottom.
Mini cherry cheesecake — tart cherries over a creamy cheesecake, small enough that you’ll order two.
Dodgers are home against the Nationals. Happy hour starts at 7. Come eat, watch the game, and hang out.
