IT’S FRIDAY & I NEEDED TO SHARE THIS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS PIECE WITH YOU ALL BC 😭😭😭😭

look, i try to sit on things until i feel i’ve got a *~reason~* but sometimes you just gotta share for no other reason than the art is gorgeous and it’s almost the weekend.

if you’ve read saber of truth, then you know which scene this is from, but it was one of the most tender and heartbreaking and beautiful scenes for me to write & this ych that @akuristaxx did captured it SO perfectly. the way task is looking at kit has me MELTING / TEARING UP and they’re just … perfect.

anyway, go read saber of truth if you want a romance that will make you ache, with both sci-fi & dystopian elements!

tropes:
❤️ forbidden love
😑 reluctant hero
❤️‍🔥 yearning
🥽 a whipsmart FMC who is a healer, not a fighter
🗡️ a morally gray, blonde-haired MMC
⚡️ hidden powers
🦠 a magical pandemic that threatens humanity
🖤 he falls first
⌚️a unique magic system interspersed with cool tech
🚀 forced proximity

it’s available on KU and via the links in my bio!

Social media can be a highlight reel, and I’ve been trying to keep it very REAL lately! This kind of goes along with a story I shared the other day about why I share my challenges and talk openly about the ups and downs. Sometimes being vulnerable feels whiny to me, but I also think it’s so important because… I struggle A LOT being on this journey and everyday is not an amazing day, no matter how hard I try to remain engaged and optimistic.

So anyway, just a reminder that you’re not alone, and if you feel some of this stuff too, I’m always here to chat, commiserate, cheer you on, whatever! 💜 by @cgordonwrites

“You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to do this, f🤭ck you like this…” - Task Canmore

JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL BECAUSE I AM DECEASED

literally could not have envisioned a hotter, thirstier depcition of Major Task Canmore, the touch-starved galactic soldier in Saber of Truth, and @vionyx_ freaking DELIVERED. i have been staring at this for weeks & contemplated making it my phone background but thought that might be a bridge too far 😅

but like, i’m sorry, if you didn’t want to read Saber of Truth before, perhaps this will convince you?!?

i am a sucker for hands and men that wear rings, so of course needed to compile all of the renderings of Task’s (my hot blonde soldier MMC for those who are new here) very sexy ones 🙃

some of these are from artwork i have not yet shared because i am terrified of being restricted on instagram again, but i hope to be able to do so soon!

I KNOW I HAVE BEEN SO SNEAKY (well, maybe less so as of late) ABOUT CONSORTIUM #2 BUT HAPPY TO TELL YOU GUYS I HAVE FINISHED THE FIRST DRAFT!!

i sent it for dev edits this week, so there’s still a long way to go and i’m prepared for a pretty major rewrite, especially because the vast majority of it i drafted while sleep deprived on maternity leave, but we’ll see what happens!

there were parts of writing this that absolutely WRECKED me, and it has a different vibe than Saber of Truth (we’re no longer trapped aboard the Polaris), but hopefully that will make for an even better and more engaging read!! second books are scary because you want them to advance the plot, fulfill a purpose, and live up to the first, so the pressure is ON. buuuut what if i tell you the yearning is even STRONGER than in SOT??? like if you thought task canmore was down bad in book 1, just wait 😮‍💨

stay tuned for forthcoming info about pre-orders, title, release date and more!! i truly cannot wait to share more of this world with you all.

and if you want to be the first to know about all of this stuff, head over to the 🔗 in my bio to sign up for my newsletter 💜🚀 by @cgordonwrites
