1v2 Actions w/ Some of the Best 2029’s IN THE COUNTRY🔥
.
Emphasis On: Downhill Transition and Space Aways/Getting Off the Ball. Some MAJOR KEYS/Points of Emphasis 🔑
.
1️⃣Make QUICK DECISIONS/Attack Closeouts
.
As we’ve mentioned before, and is a major concept at the highest levels of basketball…you want to ATTACK ADVANTAGES (like a defender closing out) and avoid playing in NEUTRAL situations where the advantage is over and it’s back to “even”
.
2️⃣Work to Get Your Shot Off w/ SPEED
.
Do Your Work Early w/ Hands and Feet as You’re Moving BEFORE THE CATCH and Pop Your Dribble into Gathers/Pockets on Pull-Ups. Don’t give the Defense time to Recover and Contest
.
3️⃣Read and React to How the Defense Plays You
.
This means reading BOTH the Primary AND Secondary (Help/Shift) Defenders. Too many players focus on just being able to play 1v1 when in reality you have 4 other defenders to read too.
.
These actions are simple, but apply certain constraints: the passer/backside defender has to recover to a certain area and either be a Help/Shift Defender or a MIG at the rim after they pass, adding an extra read for the offense to make. The primary defender also closes out from different areas. Ideally you want to attack the SPACE as well as the type of closeout👍 taken in Dayton, Ohio by @cgreatnesstrain

Always been one of my favorite weeks of the year. I’ve always admired and respected how Des can get away to beautiful places in the world and spend time with family/enjoy the trip, while still staying LOCKED IN and getting his work in🔒

Something about getting a workout in outside with the ocean in the background. Island Things🏝️

My Dawg @jay.money513 is a PLAYMAKER‼️
.
Would you rather be known as a High-Level Scorer or High-Level Playmaker?🤔
.
There’s a HUGE Difference Between Being a Scorer and a PLAYMAKER. And it could the difference in the scholarship and professional opportunities you ultimately have.
.
Jay is a prime example of that. He’s a very willing passer. Not only can he put the ball in the basket, but he sets his teammates up and MAKES OTHERS AROUND HIM BETTER. He contributes to WINNING in MULTIPLE WAYS💪
.
Jay is off to a great start playing Varsity as a Freshman for powerhouse @letsgobigmoe and per usual, GETTING ON THAT RIM🔥
.
