Stray kitty turns out to be a girl not a boy! Expensive... About a week ago, after getting her comfortable with me, my walking around, talking, and door opening, I started letting her inside for around 30m at a time or however long she wanted to stay in. She would wander around a bit by the back door, darting back outside at every noise, but I could keep luring her back in with treats and she'd go walk around a bit more.. Once she had walked to my room a few times and checked it out a bit, I decided it was time to bring her inside permanently, at least for now. Obviously it was gonna be stressful but things gotta get worse before they can get better in this regard.. So I yoinked her and dropped her off in my room and shut the door. Honestly she put up almost no fuss. She found a safe space under my bed to run to when overwhelmed, and I brought her a personal food and water dish + a litterbox which I hope to get out of my room ASAP... She's very comfortable in here now and comes up to lay on my lap when tired, sometimes she'll even sleep by my side, though rare unfortunately.. I've been opening my door a lot to let her roam the rest of the house but it's taking her a much longer time to feel comfortable out there... With all the other cats, an energetic golden retriever, and 4 other humans, it's too much for here atm I guess.. Hopefully in another week or two she will be ready to stay out there mostly and come and go from my room to hangout as she pleases. I'm thinking of calling her Freya 🐈‍⬛ by @cha0s_c0lin

Lemme break it down for you. 🕺🏻🕺🏻

Alright now that that's out of the way.. The odometer on my bike is almost at 520mi and 90% of that is simply from going back and forth to the beach randomly at 3am 😭 I don't know what I'd do if I grew up further inland...

Pictures of Lake Michigan March 11th 3am. Don't ask. Thought this was pretty awesome, with the sand and snow mounds on the ice. I've never actually seen ice on the lake myself, just never out that way before it all melts, so it's kinda special to me.

Unfortunately... My mascot, therapist, and most importantly best friend, Is no longer with us.. its been about 2 weeks since Garfield's disappearance and I hadn't known what happened to him really until now.. My old man woke me up this morning by telling me Garfield was hit by a car, that a kind man had found his warm body and took him to the vet where they held him for the past few weeks until they cremated him. Im not sure what I could've done if I knew where he went, maybe I could have taken him and buried him myself.. But I couldn't find any info about this online at the time or even now. Anyways... It happens, it was only a few years ago I lost my old cat Rose to a similar situation and he lives here now, in a post, accompanied by a fat orange acquaintance.. RIP Garfield, he was a sweet happy cat with a very playful/goofy side, he loved to rip apart paper towels and sink his claws into almost every soft surface around the house just cause. He was also pretty young, only about 4 years old.. I had intentions to move out and take my cat with me, I was gonna take care of him and love him till he was too old and grumpy to take it anymore... 😿 by @cha0s_c0lin
