I was paralyzed by fear. Filled with anxiety.

As a teenager, I struggled on the inside but I hid it really well. Walking in the popular circles, getting good grades, and striving for a Division I scholarship allowed me to look alright on the outside.

But I was a mess. Dealing with anxiety surrounding sports performance and social settings, I didn’t know how to handle it all.

Then something began to change. It started with God’s pursuit of me, he called me a son and I responded with surrender of my life, my dreams, and my future. Loving friends and family surrounded and lifted me.

Fast forward 18 years, it truly is unbelievable for me to stand before a group, sit across a table, or counsel over the phone.

I’ve experienced this verse: “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭9‬ ‭
