So last day here in Turkey. Full day. Started at an accent city of Harran where people still live in these beehive houses. Then off to the big daddy of #göbeklitepe and it was amazing. Long conversation with an archeologist so again I geeked out. Then ended the day at Mount Nemrut. It is a Greco-Persian necropolis. Also was on the Euphrates River because I am in Mesopotamia. That blows my mind. Been on the Spice Road and now back home! #gay #gayguy #gaytravel by @chadly74

So one of the 2 reasons I came to Turkey was to geek out over #karahantepé This site is 13,000 years old. This was ancient when the pyramids were built. Human history has been rewritten because of site like this. This is also an active #archeology site so not very many tourists. I am very blessed to be able to do this. Today was hiking in The Red Valley, then went to the Underground City. 5 stories deep and up to 30,000 people were able to live inside. #gay #gayguy #gaybear #gaytravel #cappadocıa by @chadly74

A little Ephesus today. Ancient port city that was the Roman capital for Asia Minor. But history goes way back further. Also went to house the Mary, mother of Jesus, supposedly died in. Also the tomb of John the apostle. Not religious so they did not really mean much to me. But the temple of Artemis and her statue sure got me! Free day. So I went to the Spice Market, the Grand Bazar, lamp shopping, and hit the archeological museum. So much history and so many cultures create modern day Turkey.
