Our local leopard population have recently become habituated to vehicles - which has made for great encounters considering we do not have lion in the park.

Not entirely sure of the dynamics of the four that are regularly seen just yet but very keen to spend more time figuring it out 💪

The only thing better than one gaboon, is two!

Whilst observing a female gaboon adder for more than 20 days, the most incredible moment followed - a second gaboon appeared, a male.

They did not make contact while I was there but did get incredibly close to each other.

I could only spend a further 5 days with both of them unfortunately, before I had to return to work.

Stoked, a great Omen!

A special one for me!

I was fortunate enough to spend 25 days tracking and observing a female gaboon adder and her behavior - a species very special to me - a good Omen 😊

Gaboons are the largest adder/viper in Africa with the longest fangs and highest venom yield of any snake in the world!

Let that sink in 🐍
