Let me tell you about yesterday.

God made an awkward joke and I laughed, but then I realized that my life really isn’t my own, nothing about my life is my own and I was humorously reminded of that yesterday.

Highlight of my day: I asked wheelbarrow pushers if they wanted to be in my video, and you needed to see the smiles on their faces.

Which is funny, because I had asked about 7 people before that and they all said no. Lol

Well, with that said; ask me how my day went…

P.S: every one (whose face is showing) consented to being recorded. Well, except my brothers, me being their sister is consent 😘

During my class with the kids at school today, we entered the conversation about what salvation really is. We had read 1 Peter 1 which had one of its verses claim salvation was our final reward, now one of the students asked “Ms. Debby, does that mean we aren’t really saved right now?” And after much research through scripture we’d realized that salvation is in 3 folds

✨ Justification (John 3:15-16)
✨ Sanctification (I Thessalonians 5:23)
✨ Glorification (1 Peter 1:5)

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬-‭5‬

I sat in church listening to different people come up to speak about Uncle Nutty, my heart was so heavy because I was still in disbelief, death hadn’t hit me this hard before. But when his sisters came up and read one of my favorite verses in scripture, Paul’s dilemma of whether to die and be with the Lord or stay and help the believers walk better with God, my heart felt warm; that was the same verse the Holy Spirit had used to try to comfort on the evening the news came to us (I say try, because I refused to be comforted that night).

But in hearing the words echo through the speakers, for the first time in about a week, my heart felt lighter. I could finally see what God wanted me to see, Uncle Nutty has lived a life for Him, emptying himself out into people and that’s where my comfort came from. That he multiplied the talents the Master gave him. He had helped us walk better with the Father, to the point where we now help others. Now isn’t that the whole point?

And now, as I type this, my heart is no longer heavy (even though it hurts) but I’m “ridiculously inspired” (thank you @kngjames__ for the term) to live my life out fully to the Lord. I’m grateful for the opportunity to have done life with Uncle Nutty.

Thank you Uncle Nutty for teaching us to STAND PROUD.

Thank you Jesus for Uncle Nutty! 🔥❤️🕊️
