Nobody really prepares you for this phase of life.🌱✍🏻 One day, you’re so caught up in the things you love doing that you can’t imagine your days any other way. And then, life starts showing you different sides of itself. Your late 20s come with so many little shifts. The way you look at relationships, the people you let into your life, the choices you make, and even the future you once imagined for yourself. I’ve noticed this in my own life, too. The conversations I’ve had, the people I’ve met, the places I’ve explored, the challenges I’ve faced, and the things I’ve allowed myself to experience have all shaped the way I see things today. Some of my opinions have changed. Some things I once felt so sure about look different now. And there are things I understand today that I probably wouldn’t have understood a year ago. I think that’s the interesting part. You don’t always know whether it’s the people who change you, the situations you go through, or simply the fact that you’re finally looking at life from a different point of view. And maybe it doesn’t always have to be one or the other. Somewhere between doing the things I love, trying things outside my usual world, and navigating all the little changes life brings, I’ve realised that it’s okay to see things differently than I once did. Maybe that’s the beauty of this phase. You get to change your mind, question what you once believed, discover what matters to you now, and still be proud of the person you were when you knew less. So here’s to staying open to change, being kinder to the versions of ourselves we’re leaving behind, and making peace with the ones we’re still becoming. Some days are just full of life. 🧿🍄🤍 That day, I dressed up the way I’d always wanted to, went for lunch at a friend’s place, and spent time with people who made me feel so loved. One of my favourite parts was watching a friend click my pictures with so much excitement, constantly telling me how she wanted to be like me. The way she cheered me on and captured me with so much love made the whole experience even more special. It’s such a beautiful feeling to see yourself through someone else’s eyes. 🫶🏻 And then, spending time at a place where I always find myself talking about how my heart feels, being around my soul friends, meeting new people and making new connections… It felt like the universe gave me a little bit of everything I love in one day. The kind of conversations that stay with you, the kind of laughter that comes naturally, the feeling of being seen without having to explain yourself, and the freedom to show up exactly as you are. Nothing extraordinary had to happen. And yet, I went home feeling like my heart had collected a little more happiness than it came with.
