There are SO many 💎 we gained from our time in Atlanta (& don’t worry we’ll be back one day)

The one memory that we still talk about in 2026! is how @smarttrouble & the people SHUT DOWN a gas station because of how they treated us… that powerful moment fuels this mission even today— just imagine if we showed up like that everywhere in this society… but to be short & stick to the point lol

Do I want people to boycott #HamlarCurtis?! One of my favorite uncles is a staple there so ideally, I’d rather go with something that won’t affect him HOWEVER if it gets to that point & the owner doesn’t care about his own team, then I’d definitely say it’s time to #MakeACHAiNGE…

Meaning #CollectiveAction for ALL— @hopecenterofnw, his people, our people, NW, Roanoke in general! But in the meantime & between time if anyone has a #legalaid resource we’d greatly appreciate it! Y’know it’s already hard enough to be in the #nonprofit sector especially as Black women… imagine the struggle we had trying to show up 💯 last Saturday for the people with this on our shoulders!

These are unnecessary issues we don’t have the time, talent nor treasure to waste on! 💛🔗🤞🏾 by @chainges_org

When we do #RestorativeWorks for existing organizations it can look like a number of things— building systems, restoring internal relationships, strengthening external ones, etc.

💚
Coming off of the holiday season is difficult for any team to follow up after, especially small teams. With a reminder of our upcoming #BlackHistoryMonth an idea was sparked, a vision was seen & the show— executed!

We first learned about #NationalNightOut when we became a homeowner in #MechanicsvilleATL…. some odd years later we’re attending our ☝🏾 National Night Out in our born place!
💚
It was such a beautiful evening to connect with neighbors from ALL over NW Roanoke! A special thanks for our new partnership with @thehopecenter_11 as their Operations Manager!

can we get one of our musically blessed links to put a soft blend behind these words… that will be used as our “theme song” for CHAiNGES X Channel 🎥 👀 ⁉️
💚🔗🤞🏾
we want something to give the same vibes as the songs on Girlfriends, Golden Girls, Brady Bunch as we bring back healthy infotainment in 2025 & beyond!

#FlowersForTheLiving—-when we started this journey we were solely trying to survive homelessness; these last 10 years have been a bLesson & some!
💚🔗🤞🏾
CHAiNGES X was solely a celebration to honor those who have had the most positive impact on how we #MakeACHAiNGE for ourselves & others!

We look forward to reintroducing this mission and doing the work that needs to be done for another decade and some! #notyouraveragenonprofit taken in Worldwide by @chainges_org

Saturday, was an intentional gathering to celebrate 10 #YearsinService…. 10 life chainging years in Metro Atlanta…. 10 years of crossing paths with people we could #MakeACHAiNGE with for the past, present, & future.
💚🔗🤞🏾
The night ended with confirmation of something we’ve been trying to confirm all year. Listen, when your mind, body, and/or spirit puts someone on your heart… REACH OUT (that’s all you have to share, it doesn’t have to take up a lot of time nor space)
💚🔗🤞🏾
We’re extremely devastated to know a guesstimate of how much time has passed since our ‘grandmothers’ transition. Our new goals/focuses for the next decade include planned giving requests; our first task will be to #MakeACHAiNGE and find where she’s been buried first & to have an actual homegoing ceremony!
