Have you heard @plantbabyplantmvmt Robin Wall Kimmerer's recent interview with @natehagens ? I was soaking in her words about the honorable harvest as I gathered marigolds from my garden to make into colorwashes for this Sunday's *free* workshop in Evanston. Join me to share in the joy of these beauties and paint with flowers at @jrctogether's ArtsFest.

You'll also have the chance to decompress while viewing @trailtracing's stunning local nature photography.

And you can purchase handmade art from @chaiwolfman and others. by @chaiwolfman

I was happy to provide artwork for the @jrctogether Lakefront Shabbat Siddur and I’m not sure if many people know that the artwork inside is mostly small pieces of larger paintings. I’m bringing all these pieces and a lot more to JRC Arts Fest next weekend if you’d like to take a piece of lakefront Shabbat home with you. ✌🏼💖🎨#chicagoartist #mixedmedia #queerartist #evanston #artfair by @chaiwolfman

A dozen new paintings inspired by waves, fields, a light breeze. They carry a reminder to breathe, to shine a light, to find a moment of peace when you can. I just finished sewing these. Next up: photo, varnish, and frame. Thanks for looking. ✌🏼💖🎨

Making art about the those sweet, peaceful summer vibes helps me keep beach time in my mind all year. Bonus selfie in my happy place to see some of the inspiration. 😊 Prints are in my shop. ✌🏼💖🎨

Another great adventure with one of my favorite humans. Everywhere we go is the best. 🎨☕️🚶🏻‍♀️🌞💕🍦🎤 @shannondowney2 by @chaiwolfman

This was a very special request to honor a friend’s loss of a loved one. I’m grateful to be entrusted with such a meaningful project. ✌🏼💖🎨

Feeling really grateful for my village today. You know who you are. (Nothing happened, I’m just reflecting and feeling the love).

These two little paintings are now framed and available at the @andersonvillegalleria. ✌🏼💖🎨

Junior year! I’m so proud of these two wonderful humans.🐞🌱 by @chaiwolfman

What a wonderful trip up north to visit gram and go kayaking in Lake Superior! So much beauty!!! I’m inspired. Biking, paddle boarding, art galleries, a secret garden, board games, gelato, and the biggest shooting start I’ve ever seen. Reuniting with Ruthie at the end was full of joy, too. Don’t leave, summer! I love you. 🌞🌊💕 by @chaiwolfman

This week I’m experimenting with raw edges and black backgrounds for these little paintings. What do you think? It’s a work in progress as usual. ✌🏼💖🎨 by @chaiwolfman

Did they forget the anchor and are off to face choppy waters without their steadying force? Are they sailing off and finding freedom from whatever was weighing them down? Choose your own adventure.

This is a 6x6 inch painting and is available if it speaks to you. ✌🏼💖🎨
