💀💀💀 Are you dying to get the inside scoop on our dyes ?!?💀💀💀 #process #post This is the garment finishing for the last products we dropped! The first few slides are of our indigo vat dying 💀 process. Dipped several times in the vat to achieve a rich 🤑 color!! You can see the indigo vat flower!!! 🌹 The last half of the photos are of the clothes getting over-dyed 😵☠️ with black tea and an iron oxide (rust) mordant! 2✌️new colors of Pleated Mechanics Caps‼️ Chainstitch grid patterns were added to the textiles before construction. We love how the lines get distorted by the pleats as they make their way around the cap. Fade check 🤪 Been wearing these almost every day for the past 6 months or so 🤷🏻‍♂️ (Last slides are a brand new pair) It was cool to notice how far my pair has come while restocking the racks at @side.walk.store with a fresh run last night. Garment dying with turmeric stains the weft of the denim golden yellow, which you can see poking through on the brand new pair. With wear, the jeans will fade over time to a greenish yellow, as the indigo warp fades and blends with the turmeric color. I’m excited to see how these continue to age and develop over the next 6 months🤞😎 by @chalk.press

In honor of Bataille summer here’s a mask we made for Skrilla a couple months back embroidered with the opening text of Acéphale, dyed half red and half black like Elegua. Sacrifice is extremely prevalent in Skrilla’s work, we thought it’d be an appropriate fit. But in a very funny turn of cosmic justice the mask ended up being too small, basically a complete waste, and I think he only wore it once. These are the only pictures we have. I used a translation by @eminersoy that appeared in the @inpatient_press Mercurial Review from last June 2025. Thanks to them both! by @chalk.press
