Jez just wanted everyone to know that she works hard behind the scenes to help organize these trainings. #elationprofessional #lightingprogrammer #setlighting #obsidiancontrolsystems #filmlighting #lightingconsole #dogsatwork by @chalk_cine_ctrl_inc

3 days of training in a small group enviroment means lots of time to process and integrate what you are learning while you have access to top of the line ONYX hardware (NX4). The small group size also means lots of individualized attention so that no one falls behind. It's really important to us that we take the time keep everyone caught as as we progress because this material is constantly building on itself.

Something very unique about our training is that we have already taken the class notes for you! We didn't want you to get lost scribbling notes and trying to keep up, so we put together this course book that has detailed steps and screenshots so you can remember and recreate what we did in class. Sure this book is written using film lighting as the application, but the concepts of how to build and operate a show are similar whether you are going into film, concerts, theatre, or architectural work. #obsidiancontrolsystems #elationprofessional #setlighting #filmlighting #lightingconsole #lightingprogrammer by @chalk_cine_ctrl_inc

Our first open to the public ONYX Training!
We have been teaching this course to our unions for years, but this month, for the first time, we are holding an open to public training!
If you are looking for a course that takes you from the "how do I turn it on?" stage all the way to the "I got this" stage, then our 3 day course might be just what you need!

If your looking for a good deal on a lovingly used all in one console; I present to you the NX1!
What does it mean to be a "standalone" console? It means the console has the processor integrated as part of the hardware ("onboard processing"). The opposite would be using a computer running ONYX PC and connecting hardware to your computer for operation.
Check it out the NX1 on our eBay store, or send us a message if you are looking for other console options!

If your looking for a good deal on a lovingly used all in one console; I give you the NX1!
A gently used demo console ready to go to a new home where it gets to work more. The NX1 is the simplest stand alone Onyx console. It can quickly be expanded with the addition of an NX-K if you want hardware for the programming keys or an NX-P if you want an additional fader bank.
Check it out on our eBay store, or send us a message if you are looking for other console options!

New Video on YouTube!
Chalky takes you through, step by step, how to program cues in the EN12i using CLU, and how to trigger those cues using the BS10! These are great tricks for those practical gags in spaceships or venues that need easy recall for a couple of basic looks.
And if you watch the full video you can laugh your butt off at our not perfect dubbing at the end. 🤣
If you're interested in adding some Netron products to your rig, let us know! We would be happy to help connect you with the right equipment for your project.

Our hearts go out to our community members here in LA whose lives have been affected by the wildfires. After much consideration we have decided the best way for us to help is with a monetary donation to the IATSE Walsh/Di Tolla/Spivak fund, which has been opened up to assist IATSE members here in LA who need assistance recovering from the fires.
We want you to know that for the next 2 weeks (Monday January 13 - Sunday January 27) 15% of our net proceed from sales on new equipment will be donated to this fund to help put some of our own resources and yours back into the LA film community.
We are still moving forward with the event on Tuesday (the open demo at Elation in Commerce, CA), though it might be a bit more somber. Now is a time for community and we can't think of a better way than some free food, good company, and some lighting nerdiness to distract us.
Love you all and stay safe out there LA!
