Forever thankful for a community that loves my dad nearly as much as I do. I mean it truly says something about a person when an entire church, more specifically children’s Vacation Bible school, chooses to pray specifically for your Dad amongst everything going on in their individual lives. He’s my bestfriend, my biggest supporter, my favorite person, and most importantly the most prevalent example of a God-fearing man I’ve ever known. The perfect example of what a Christ loving man should be- just as Jesus himself was, my dad is a suffering servant. The perfect example of one actually, for while he’s dealing with cancer and pain so unbearable he has to stop in his tracks, he still shows up for who he loves, the Church that backs him and fills his doubts and worries with positivity and support, and still takes time to stop and smile at the little things the Lord has filled his life with. He’s my everything, and it’s so touching to see the lives he impacts so strongly aside from my own. It’s rare for a person like me to have such a relationship as I do with my dad, which speaks even more wonders about the person he is. He’s the closest to perfect I’ll ever know, and the best friend, dad, confidant, husband, and just all around person I’ve been blessed to come across in this life I get to experience. Luckily enough, he’s the reason I’m here and I owe it all to him. Happy Father’s Day Boo, you’re everything. by @chance.chung
