I’ve been blessed to have spent time this summer working at Trail West Lodge and Woodleaf Towne as a horse wrangler and in the kitchen.

I’ve learned a lot this summer, especially on the importance of being fully known and loved.

I’ve gone by lots of names this summer, like “the horse guy”, “the miner”, “ninja”, “Kason the 67 twin”, and many more. The name I cherish the most is being God’s son.

I’ve been blessed enough to be known by name and loved, and I’ve been blessed enough to serve others the way that I feel cared & loved on.

I’ve been blessed enough to serve the Lord in His creation all summer and it’s made the best memories.

I’ve got to see a lot of new perspectives, serving on summer staff at Lost Canyon then work crew at Crooked Creek, it’s taught me a lot of lessons.

Between all the 67s, airballs, steep hikes, and fist bumps, I wouldn’t trade this summer for the world and I miss camp like Tate misses root beer.

It’s been a rough past two weeks.

Losing the deciding match of the state dual finals definitely took a toll on me, especially since it was the last shot that me and some of my teammates would have at that title.

Losing the final match of your career in overtime one match away from placing isn’t fun either.

It’s times like these that you gotta sit back and think that the greatest thing you’ll ever take away from wrestling or any sport is not state champ rings or medals, it’s the life lessons.

I’ve learned that sometimes life isn’t fair, how to work hard, how to stay focused.

If I told that short, chubby kid 5 years ago that could barely last 3 minutes on the mat that he would be wrestling in high school, let alone competing for a state title, he wouldn’t believe me.

I’m so thankful for all years I’ve spent on the mat, the support I’ve had, the friends I’ve made, and the coaches I’m lucky to have had in my corner. It’s been a wild four years & I’m glad I had the opportunity that I had, even if I didn’t achieve all my goals. I’m gonna miss these guys.

As the great Andy Bernard once said “I was there was a way to know you were in the good ole days before you left them”

I’ve been blessed enough to serve on Malibu work crew for the past 3(ish) weeks and they were some of the best weeks of my life & I met a lot of amazing people. I could ramble on all day but I’ll keep it somewhat short.

Thanks to the Malibu Club staff for keeping the place so beautiful, Younglife is truly a blessing.
Thanks to my work crew coordinators Rebecca & Ken, y’all helped me get there & were so welcoming.
Thanks to the “Skibidi Slicers” for being amazing. We had so many laughs and made connections that will last a lifetime.
Thanks to the entire work crew for being the best family. Everyone was so supportive and I miss yall so much.
Thanks to “The Exterminators”. Y’all boys are the dopest people I’ve met. So many great moments in such a short time. Our mice problem will never be forgotten 🐁
Lastly, I want to thank God. He led me to a place with beautiful views and people and everything He’s done is truly amazing.

Our work crew coordinator told us that the if Jesus came back He’d choose to work our jobs, the ones behind the scenes that get little praise.
