Vibe Dance Competition 2026 with @newagetheatrics

When I was a freshman in high school, one day I faked having a fever so I could stay home all day to watch Vibe videos. It was that day that I first saw @erikuzin and @frvncistyrell on the vibe stage. I was completely enamored by their natural way of commanding the stage and their talent for putting on a SHOW. I was 14 the first time I saw Erika and Francis dance, and never in a million years did I think I’d be sharing the stage with them, just as I saw in those videos years ago.

Competing at vibe is a HUGE milestone in my personal dance journey, and I could not be more grateful to Erika and Francis for putting their faith in me. Thanks to my New Age family for being supportive of one another and creating an atmosphere of love and adoration. Shoutout to my parents for always supporting these dreams of mine. And shoutout to my best buddy @dustinoshea for surprising me and always keeping it real.

This has been an incredibly surreal experience and I am grateful for every step of the journey. This was my first vibe and it sure as hell won’t be my last 🎭 by @chando.0

A love letter to Duck Street,

I joined Duck Street at 18 because my mom told me I should try to keep dancing in college. I was hesitant and scared, moving to a new state without any friends. Now at 22, I could not be more grateful for her discovery of DSDC.

Before Duck Street, I loved dancing but never felt seen. I had former teachers and peers tell me that I wasn’t good enough, would never amount to a good dancer, I deserve to be overlooked, etc. etc. It wasn’t until Duck Street that I felt seen or valued as a dancer. Duck Street taught me how to be confident and how to believe in myself. DSDC taught me how to love dance again in a different way than before.

It also taught me how to be a good leader. A good friend. A good role model. A good director. I met my best friends through this team, and I am forever grateful to of shared the stage with them.

I would not give up my time on Duck Street for anything in the world. Every person who has ever been on the team, come to workshops, or even just supported the crew, you mean the world to me. We were all meant to cross paths.

Thank you for the memories Duck Street, a piece of my heart will forever be yours.
