The @djrebekah and @Bradnolimit clash is a fractured civil war within the global techno scene, as two of its most prominent voices for reform - have publicly clashed over the methods used to address sexual misconduct allegations. The friction ignited when Bradnolimit questioned Rebekah on Instagram regarding her manager’s role as a booker for Free Your Mind Festival, specifically concerning the presence of Fantasm on the lineup, during a period of heightened industry scrutiny. Bradnolimit shared screenshots of his attempts to contact Rebekah, ultimately labelling her a "fraud" and claiming she only supports accountability movements when it is "convenient for her". After being blocked by Rebekah, Bradnolimit intensified his public criticism, suggesting her commitment to the #metoo movement was secondary to her professional career. Rebekah, a long-time advocate through her #ForTheMusic campaign, responded with a detailed statement explaining her decision to distance herself from Bradnolimit’s specific methods. "I do believe his lack of hiding their personal identities whilst sharing messages on Instagram is massively harmful to their autonomy," Rebekah stated, referring to the victims whose stories are often shared as screenshots on Bradnolimit's platform. She further clarified the professional limitations of her management. While her manager is a booker for Free Your Mind, he is not the promoter and lacks the authority to unilaterally cancel bookings or alter financial agreements once established. Rebekah emphasised that her work with @metoo.music focuses on changing legislation to protect promoters from being "counter-sued" when cancelling alleged abusers, arguing that legal safeguards are necessary for sustainable change. When contacted for comment, Bradnolimit firmly pushed back against Rebekah's assertions. He categorically denied ever exposing the identity of a victim on his platform. He also called out Rebekah about not getting involved with @metoodjs foundation. He labelled her industry advocacy "performative," citing her lack of donations and unclear motives.
