@new.comma is a platform I had quick interest in when it first launched because I was very intrigued by what they’ve been building to help black and African creatives within the creative space. What made me fall in love with the platform more was when I discovered it was built by Africans. Nothing gets me excited than a “built by us for us brand”. @nataliiee_n and @nigel_am took their time to understand what black and African creatives need to thrive in their creative disciplines and birthed an amazing platform to cater to these needs. This collaboration is dear to me as I get to shed more light on this amazing platform and also get you all to join an amazing community that enables you thrive in your creative disciplines. If you haven’t already, listen to the first episode of the podcast with the founders of NewComma and also join the amazing community! I thoroughly enjoyed recording the finale episode with @yesjulianowusu of @buildthecompany Julian is such a force to reckoned with. His positive mindset is very tangible in every interaction, in what he does and how he does it. Fun fact about this episode- Julian made me scratch everything I had prepared to interview him about on the day and focus the interview in a direction which was to discuss his current company BUILD, which was new at the time he graciously granted me this interview. Unfortunately, we lost some footage while recording but this interview was too good to scrap entirely. Kindly sign up to @changingthenarrativepod ‘s newsletter to catch what was missed in this interview in writing as well as some exclusive insights about season 2-link in our bio. In this last episode of season 2, I speak to Julian about his journey and how he got to the point of BUILD.
