Living the life you want isn’t always linear, and Melissa proves how powerful resilience can be.

As a mom of two children with rare genetic conditions, Melissa chose to return to school through our Spanning the Gaps program — and kept choosing not to quit.

This fall, she'll be studying food and nutrition at TMU and aims to work toward becoming a registered dietician or nutritionist, supporting children with cleft palates, feeding challenges, and complex medical needs.
