A Coachella campaign by Florence. Cool vid but I gravitate toward that flat lay part. 2012–2016 and it was one of Instagram’s first native visual languages. The style pulled from Tumblr moodboards, design blogs, Kinfolk / minimalist lifestyle, early Pinterest boards

Top-down shots.
Objects placed with intention.
Clean, symmetrical, warm, and instantly readable.

Built for a square, chronological feed, no algorithm, no video, so everything was optimized for immediate visual impact. the real shift was from “here’s what I did” to “here’s what my life looks like”

Objects became signals. Taste, lifestyle, identity.
A personal moodboard disguised as a photo. Pre-influencer. Pre-chaos. More intention.

This is cool, Cosmos just released this video that’s worth a spotlight with @odessaazion. Right now, the online dominant narrative feels split. On one side, everything is accelerating, technology, AI, content, ideas. On the other, there’s a quiet pull backward. Not out of nostalgia, but out of a need to reconnect with something that feels real.

What makes this video land is how clearly it reflects what people are already feeling. It taps into a shared tension, a collective craving for friction, presence, something human.

And yeah, sure the world doesn’t need another app pulling us further from nature, keeping us locked to our phones. But it does need better storytelling, deeper meaning, and a reason to look up.

We are one.

While someone is waking up,
someone else is falling in love.
While someone is stuck in a job they don’t want,
someone else is proposing.
While one person is grieving,
another is reconnecting with family.

All the while, people’s loneliness, love, and loss connects us to the human experience.

Same day. Same time. Completely different lives.

There are people praying, traveling, celebrating, surviving, all at once.

I am incredibly inspired.

Time feels structured, but it’s really just a container.
Inside of it, life is happening in completely different ways, simultaneously.

“What do you love?”
“What’s in your pockets?”
“What do you fear?”

We’re all answering the same questions, just living different versions of them.

Middle of a decade and everything is changing. A collection of a few decisions, a few risks, and a willingness to leave some stuff behind can reshape everything. How what once felt like framework starts to fall away the moment you step into a bigger calling.

The next 4 years of this decade is for ego death, discomfort, growth, and flow all happening at once. Sometimes you leave something behind, and somehow end up finding a version of home you didn’t even know existed. Finally crawling out of the post-ComplexCon haze, but I had to say this.

We spend so much time staring at culture through glass, the screens, the scrolls, the drops that come and go like waves. But inside those walls, at ComplexCon, you feel it for what it really is. It’s raw, loud, overstimulating, and human. It’s not a feed. It’s a pulse.

ComplexCon isn’t just a marketplace, it’s a proving ground.
It’s where ideas grow calluses. Where dreamers sell, build, adapt, and get humbled. It’s where you find out who’s really built for this.

And truthfully, the torch is already being passed. The kids are sharp, fearless, and unbothered by the rules the rest of us used to follow. They’re not waiting for permission, they’re rewriting the playbook in real time.

Big respect to @cherry_coke_zero who leads the charge, @thesoniaaa for always pushing me, my counterparts @jessegxrxia and @dmfjonez, the entire marketplace team Joel, @goodguyquinn @marleygldnbrg @emilyy_chavez @ivanlevant_ @reyabenitez @betheltammerat, and every partner that lets me go off script, throw out ridiculous + wild ideas, build with them, shake hands, trade stories, and make it real.
