ALAS 🙏 Unearthed is OUT Today

Unearthed is the first installment of a two part retrospective from DYNOHUNTER, a full length sonic expedition digging deep into the archives to reveal hidden gems from a bygone era. Created with longtime fans in mind, the album presents these tracks as they were originally conceived. The album blends intricate, polished production with lush jungle atmospheres and ritualistic tribal grooves that echo ancestral rhythms. Reverent moody harmonies lay the foundation for a dramatic arc driven by the tenor sax work of Clark Smith, bringing emotional intensity to the album’s fusion of organic and electronic elements, while live electric bass and co-production from Freddy Reisen @fredmorize add depth and a craftsman’s attention to detail.

The Reason, the Afrobeat inspired opening track from @dynohunter’s upcoming release ‘Unearthed’, is both an homage to the father of Afrobeat Fela Kuti and a nod to one of DYNOHUNTER’s earliest influences, The Motet. The track opens with a bold, full horn section theme before descending into a trance infused groove culminating in a soaring heroic saxophone solo from Clark Smith (Link in bio)

Revenant is the debut 4-track EP from BLKSMITH, deep, shadowed industrial techno driven by propulsive percussion and hypnotic rhythmic structures. Serpentine synth sequences simmer with current, while cavernous low-end pressure chugs through an eerie tonal haze, rising with slow burning tension. A dancefloor séance, a summoning. This is techno channeled from the subconscious, sharpened in darkness, carried by groove.
