Year 1 is in the books! Proud to be where I am, this first season as a Head Coach has taught me so much that I’ll never forget. I’m thankful to the East community for believing in me to lead this prestigious program. Thank you to the parents for your time and energy supporting the program and allowing me to develop your children. We will build, grow and continue to lead our youth to EXCELLENCE.

To my 1st senior class I wish I had more time with you all, with the short time we’ve had I hope the lessons, relationships and trials will carry you all to the next part of your journey.

Off-season has begun it’s only up from here. Rome wasn’t built in a day, but my staff and I are committed to building a successful program, no days off. We will be back stronger, sharper, and with a desire to win regardless of the obstacles.

FINISH THE RIGHT WAY 💯

Denver East RB Miguel Chavez ‘28 ran wild in the 1st quarter but didn’t get into the endzone.

He got another chance in the second quarter and this time, he FINISHED THE RIGHT WAY.

“On the last one I tried to take advantage of it, tried to taunt. But my team told me I gotta come back and play to our level, not theirs. Finish the right way.”

The spotlight shifted to the trenches at the DPS Hog Olympics "City" Championship.

East High School was among the teams competing, and Angels coach Gregory Thomas summed it up best: "Having a chance to make it all about the linemen — that's the biggest thing."
