Sometimes it pays off to listen to your mom when she begs you to audition for her favorite show! Because what started as an audition submitted 10 min before the deadline turned out to be an exceptionally delightful time! To get the chance to perform the songs I grew up listening to was such a nostalgic experience. To continually use my horrific French accent, and contiually laugh about it, to tiny moments on stage that brought on much laughter as well it was something I looked forward to time and time again. But the thing that topped it off and always does was the people! Reconnecting with old friends and making some wonderful new ones all while getting to sing and dance and tell stories! I’m always grateful for the chance to take the Ruth stage and feel even luckier about the people that show up to support me! May included 4 broadway shows, 40 miles biked around the island of manhattan (the silliest most wild thing I’ve done especially not training), 48 hrs to visit my besties at the most magical place on earth (they are the real magic), lots of dance performances, and games nights! Feeling nothing but lucky that I got to ring in the new year with my most cherished friends! And I was reunited with my sister after the longest 4 months of my life. (The longest we’ve ever spent apart). Fell in love with Starlord himself.

Year recap videos always make me a little weepy but this year was especially good. It was the year I trusted God enough to follow my dreams. I made my living as a creative. Something I never even imagined being possible. I traveled to some of my favorite places and spent time with lovely souls who I cherish deeply. I did a lot of yoga and kept moving my body while exploring and teaching dance! I am so grateful for the abundance I get to experience and so excited for another year to allow myself to dream even bigger! by @channing.spotts
