I had the honour of working with @citymississauga to design box wraps for Scholars’ Green Park!

“Infinite Space” plays with the concept of space and possibility by exploring impossible feats of gravity that juxtapose fantasy and reality. This piece is inspired by Mississauga’s strong sense of community and celebrates the diversity of our experiences.
-
Thank you @sheridan_college for providing this amazing opportunity for the Illustration program students, and to Philippa (Pip) French for organizing and coordinating this project throughout the past few months!
-
If you would like to check out these boxes as well as the amazing designs of my fellow Sheridan classmates, they are located next to the Sheridan College Hazel McCallion Campus in Scholars’ Green Park, right across from Square One!

D-9 Bread 🥐

Still playing catch up but trying my best to finish this series 🙌🏼 uploads have been slow bc life + been setting up my online shop 🙇🏻‍♂️ debut in Nov…. 👀

#tenshitober #tenshitober26

Hon hon hon

I enjoy how the imperfect strokes of watercolour add charm to a piece

Doesn’t it look scrumptious 🤌🏻

Trying to add more video footage of wips 👽

So many more days to go kinda nervous 🥴 by @chantallieu

D-8 Calendar 📅

Been sweating a bit trying to finish tenshitober so attempted to express my panic and chaotic mess keeping up 🤣

#tenshitober #tenshitober26

Idk if this layout is giving or just looks monke

Started off the bg with some watercolours I’ve been hoarding for a while! I kinda wanna try this wash for a diff spread since I covered it up 🫩

I liked the sense of direction with the coloured pencil lines but felt there wasn’t enough chaos/contrast so ended up adding more scribbles

Yay! I love how the stars look like they’re glowing

Spread

Day 8 !!! by @chantallieu

D-7 Fairy 🧚

I’ve been MIA so trying to catch up!! My goal is to complete the challenge even if I’m not fully caught up everyday🧍

#tenshitober #tenshitober26

She was a fairy 🧚✨

Yes I was laying out my pieces on top of my pokemon collection 🤣 need a new binder too oop

Whenever I don’t feel like getting my hands sticky with glue or fully “committing” to gluing the pieces together I just tape the back 🤫

The stars were gonna be yellow but I decided to be ✨different✨ and try green instead cuz I really wanted a pink/green colour palette

Got this Gengar at a card show a few weeks ago 🙇🏻‍♂️ I love Tomokazu Komiya 🐐

I think seeing traditional work irl hits diff

Day 7 finally done!!! by @chantallieu

D-6 Drinks 🍵

I’ve been sick as a dog 🫩 so honey lime ginger tea has been my go-to drink the past week and a half 🍯🍋‍🟩🫚

#tenshitober26 #tenshitober

Full spread eyyyyy

I’ve been obsessed with the aesthetic of my doodle page on the left side 🙇🏻‍♂️ really helps with ideation & choosing what colours/mediums I wanna play with

The Pochacco mug is everything thank you again @yubunii for the bday gift from way back I use it everyday 🥹

🍋‍🟩🍋‍🟩

I promise I filmed more of my process but editing is soooo oof 😔 I will try to post a process vid for one of the prompts when I’m not playing catch up 🙂‍↕️

Day 6 🫡 almost caught uppppp by @chantallieu

D-5 Bird 🐓

Had some doilies laying around & finally got to experiment with them! Wondering if I should’ve put plain white paper behind the doilies to help it pop better 🤔 but had fun regardless!

#tenshitober #tenshitober26

I was gonna do something cool like a peacock but that was gonna take wayyyyy too much time 🤣 so went with the classic bok bok

Testing the layers before gluing them together

Day 5 done! Catching up 🏃🏻‍♀️💨 by @chantallieu

D-4 Monkey 🐒

A little late but don’t worry about it 🙂‍↕️ Challenged myself with a spread and limited colour palette! Not my best work but still finished 💪

#tenshitober #tenshitober26

I was inspired by the nursery rhyme monkes jumping on da bed! I didn’t wanna default to brown monkeys so I experimented with fun colours instead 🙊

I painted the 3 colours and roughly cut out the shapes afterwards! I played around with placement as I went but I think I was overthinking this one a bit too much >.>

I was gonna make this a mama monkey with a bathrobe but couldn’t figure out the drapes of the robe so I gave up sadly 😞 I love the lil guy stuck in the ceiling tho help him guys DO SOMETHING

Messy desk 🐵 I’ll try to take more WIP pics/vids to show more of my process!

Idea looked better in my head than the final execution ngl

Day 4 ✅ by @chantallieu

D-2 Apple 🍎

I spontaneously decided to make it interactive 🪱 flipping stuff is fun & had fun cutting all the shapes out ✂️

#tenshitober #tenshitober26

Doesn’t it look yummy

Uh oh! He ate da apple but at least he has a cute bib

Day 2 done! by @chantallieu

D-1 Fish 🐟

It took me a few hours to get in the groove w traditional but love how it turned out :D swipe for some more pics and close ups ^^

#tenshitober #tenshitober26

Challenging myself to make all my drawings traditional for the Tenshi-Tober series 🙇🏻‍♂️ it’s been fun going thru my leftover paint swatches I’ve been hoarding & just experimenting while trying to stay loose

Really enjoyed making some sketches and colour swatches before diving (hah) into the final drawing :3 helps break the ice and overcome one of an artists’ greatest fears: the blank canvas 🧍‍♀️

PUFFERFIH 🐡

The artist lifestyle is not so glamorous iykyk

Thank you @tenshi.world for hosting!! So much fun hehe by @chantallieu
