Honestly, I’d always still feel ashamed of being labeled as an “influencer.” I did start for the wrong reasons, until the ocean called to me 🌊

When I feel lost in the online world, I just ask myself the same old question: “What are you doing it for?” And I let my passions ground me—it’s my anchor ⚓️

The online world can be so overwhelming and confusing. We no longer know what to believe or who to trust. That’s why I’ll always do my best to keep it real.

I just turned 25 today. Oftentimes, birthdays require a celebration but as I grow old the less I feel the need to celebrate it. I think most of the time we are pressured to do something on our special day just so we could appear that we’re happy, a mentality that frequently leads us to huge expectations that eventually will lead to disappointments if our standards aren’t met. If you look at life as a whole, our birthdays are just another day to grow old, same as all the other days in our life. To most people like me, age becomes irrelevant. We age every year during our birthdays but we rarely notice our growth in every single day.

At 25, I’m proud to say that I’ve lived what feels like a prosperous life. I may not be showered in wealth but I am rich in genuine experiences. I’ve made countless mistakes, I’ve questioned my existence, I fell in love & got heartbroken, I’ve hit rock bottom, I traveled the world, made lifelong friends from different countries, and I found love in diving. Now, I get to do what I love. I teach basics in freediving & I’m currently training for my next certifications both for free & scubadiving—slowly turning my dreams into reality. My life has been filled with extreme highs & lows yet I’m incredibly blessed to have reached this far. My past self wouldn’t have imagined I’d be this kind of person I am today. Life is something you can’t foresee, you can try and work towards your goals & dreams but nothing will ever come as how you’ve anticipated it. In life, you’ll always have the element of surprise.

Who I’ve become today is still a surprise to me.

Believe me when I say, behind all these ‘highs’ are a lot more of ‘lows’, but it’s worth it when it’s your passion. I wouldn’t get to where I am now, without all the hardships.

I agree that it’s nice to have someone with you in the Maldives, especially when you’re staying in beautiful resorts like @siyamworld 🌊

But if you’ve been planning that Maldives trip, you don’t have to wait for anyone! At least, that’s what I always do 🙂‍↕️

If you’re thinking twice about it, this post may convince you otherwise…

I often get asked if I ever feel lonely when I travel alone…

But how could I?

This is how I arrived in one of the best resorts in the Maldives

This is instantly my view before I even checked in

I have my own water villa?!

And a slide directly to the open sea 🤯

Spent most days alone but I enjoyed every bit of it ✨

Got to spend hours in the water 🤿

Where I met friends & fellow freedivers / scubadivers

My morning walk is in paradise… 🌴

I’m always heading towards the dive center, the beach, the bar (for coffee lol), or my new found friends 🫶🏼🫱🏽‍🫲🏼

Having a dinner date with myself? Best idea. I would recommend.

The nights are romantic & peaceful
