NEW REVIEW! @_.sepulcrum._ "Lacerator" new review at @heavy.metal.darkness "With "Lacerator", the quartet continues its old school death metal approach through technical guitar work, violent riff changes and a dark atmosphere, drawing from the late '80s and early '90s sound while keeping the songwriting arranged for a modern recording." NEW REVIEW! SEPULCRUM's sophomore album "Lacerator" has received an 8.0/10 review from Metalitalia "Once again, then, one of the most convincing interpretations of classic death metal in recent years comes from Chile. And, frankly, it is no longer a surprise" Read the full review: https://metalitalia.com/album/sepulcrum-lacerator/ #sepulcrum #lacerator #review #metalitalia by @chaosrecs

From where some wouldn't think quality metal couldn't be found, Sepulcrum is just one of the latest that continue to show us how Chile dominates and eviscerates. @_.sepulcrum._ @chaosrecs https://headbangerreviews.com/2026/08/27/sepulcrum-lacerator/ by @chaosrecs

Blood Grave - The Execution of Humanity --- --- 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼 --- --- 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿: 2026 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹(𝘀): Chaos Records 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁(𝘀): CD 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲: August 25, 2026 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿(𝘀): Jake (Grimwarning) --- --- 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 --- --- Blood Grave have a decent grip on the filthy, old school Death Metal sound. There's a good amount of chainsaw biting to the riffs and it will readily switch between crushing middle paced chunks and tremolo picked Thrash sections keeping the album moving without it becoming too light weight. There are sections which would remind me somewhat of early Death, particularly in the sharpness of the guitar work without getting too technical. In the slower sections it takes more of an Obituary style stride to it, heavy, ugly, and intended to slam. The drumming adds to that feel, never really settling down in one gear, making sure it is not just one wall of noise, especially as the songs do descend into slightly more dark sludgy zones. I also think it’s good they didn’t clean off the grime totally. The production retains more of that South Am... [...read further on VM-Underground] Read the article on our website.
