30th June 2026 would have been Tom Chappell’s 30th birthday.

Tom was one of our dearest friends. He’s the reason Chappell Barrett exists, and although he isn’t here to celebrate with us, we’ll always look for reasons to celebrate him.

This film felt like the right way to do that.

Life is best spent with good people, outside, making memories, and carrying a little more than you probably should. Somewhere between leaving the house and reaching the park we’d somehow become responsible for the drinks, the snacks, the speaker, the blanket… and apparently half the picnic.

Thankfully, six pockets go a long way.

Not every shoot goes exactly to plan… and thankfully, that’s half the fun.

A few behind-the-scenes moments from our birthday picnic shoot for the new Test Jackets in Jungle and Atlantic. From stuffing far too much into six pockets to trying (and occasionally failing) to keep a straight face, this one was a proper laugh to make.

The finished film was always about celebrating Tom in the way we’d have wanted to. Good people, a park, a few beers, and making the most of a summer evening.
