Furniture makeover... 🪑

Free little library finds out the way home today 📚🧩

Hallway stage 2 😺

Well its gone through a few phases and it doesn't look like this at the moment either buts its come together nicely! I also didnt really take any photos as door frames are still yet to be done but it's such a nice space to now walk into them arriving home 😍 oh and that light fixture 😍 by @chaptersandchairs

Hallway part 1 🎹🪵

Many moons ago, before I met the man that is now my husband I attempted something on my own... with no support it was hard - but the little amount I achieved i was also proud of 💜 stick around for part 2 when my night in shining armour comes to the rescue of what is now our hallway/entryway 😍⚔️ by @chaptersandchairs

Rescue furniture 😍

Found on the side of the road whilst walking the pooch, sadly abandoned and waiting for a new loving home. After much begging of my loving hubby off we went in the ute save her! Now I'm wondering... have I taken on too much? 🫣 by @chaptersandchairs

July book box 📦 📚😍

This months book box that I packed less than a week ago! The only thing I actually remembered putting in there were the book ends. When I went to unpack it I said to hubby, omg I need a wine for this- completely forgetting I'd put a drink IN the box. Then I was SOO excited to see the cider 😆 this is what i mean - short term crappy memory = happy surprises! Once I have finished my current hard copy book I'll start this pretty shiny one 😍 by @chaptersandchairs

3 month recap 📚

Height for this quarter is 73cm bringing my years total to 145cm so far. Again, 27 books are pictured and 36 total read. Thanks to @ahclibraries for the rest 😁 swipe across for my favourites ⏭️ and see below for my short reviews ⏬️

A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson. Such an engaging author! Where was he when I was at school?! Whilst my short term memory is awful I thoroughly enjoyed learning and then swiftly forgetting all the amazing things I had learnt!

Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. I wasn't going to go out of my way to read this one given the hype around it (it's not often I enjoy the massively hyped books) but this one certainly deserves it. Such a gorgeous story.

Anxious People by Fredrick Backman. Again, I wasn't sure about this but saw it in a free little library so figured why not?! Whilst a little predictable in places it was a lovely story of how humanity can come together, how we can forgive and how we can truly help one another. by @chaptersandchairs

Dining room bench seat 🪑🍽

Bargain pick up but not quite my style... This project did teach me though that you can paint the cheap laminate stuff - which has opened a whole new world for me! Still not entirely happy with the cushion situation but we can work on that!

Hardware from @restorationonline.com.au : $160 - amazing quality, we've used their items all over our house.
Paint: already had this so considered it free lol
Baskets: $66
Craft bits/shelf/cushion covers: $44
Glasses for bookends: $2 from the op shop!

Not my cheapest project by far but I love how its turned out, and I learnt a lot of skills along the way! by @chaptersandchairs
