A new chapter begins…📚

A little space on the internet for me to share my love of books and all things cosy with a sprinkling of Disney on the side. ✨

After wanting to start a Bookstagram for the longest time but fear of judgement always getting in the way, I’ve finally decided to take the leap.

I’d love to have hundreds of books and a book case displaying beautiful sprayed edges, but sadly I just don’t have the space - one day perhaps! For now my Kindle is my favourite accessory and I rarely leave home without it.

Book recs, hobbies and more with the aim of making new friends along the way. 🥰

I might be a Kindle addict but I’ve slowly succumbed and joined all of you who have a love of sprayed edges. I’ve admired from afar for so long and I couldn’t resist any longer, especially as we’re currently turning our office into a reading room 🥳.

My collection is currently very small and I am trying to show some restraint and not buy everything I see and love all in one go (which is extremely difficult 😂).

I’ve enjoyed reading all of the Laurie Gilmore Dream Harbour series so much, that I had to have them in physical form, and I can’t wait to collect them all. 🥰

When you’re out for the day and not having to drive, it would be rude not to start a new book. Plus my husband prefers it when I read in the car as I’m a terrible passenger, especially on the motorway 😂.

After a busy day, an early night was calling. Showered, in bed by 8pm with an Unwind Twinings tea, some dark chocolate and a new book. Utter bliss!

I started reading ‘The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches’ on Sunday. I’m currently on Chapter 11 and so far I’m loving the cosy witchy vibes. It’s just what I was wanting at the moment. Something light and easy to read.

With October well and truly here, and after finally finishing ‘Katabasis’ today, it’s time to focus on my October TBR.

I wanted to read some cosy, Romantasy books with witchy vibes this month, so I’ve chosen 6 to choose from. But I’m not quite sure where to start. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have so many other books that I also want to read including ‘Threshing Day’ and ‘The Mirror of Infinite Endings’, but I’m in no hurry as half term will soon been here, plus I have the books ready to go if I change my mind. I probably will 😂.

For now I’m wanting something magical. 🧙‍♀️🧹

It was a slow reading month for me as work took centre stage, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading and listening to my September picks. I also finished my first audible fiction book and although I loved ‘Atmosphere’, I’m still on the fence as to whether or not audible books are for me.

I’m mixing it up in October with a more seasonal focus, as I love reading Autumn themed books with a sprinkling of witchy vibes.

I’ve had this Kindle insert for months, so I thought it was time for a change. As there’s still a few weeks left of the school term I thought I’d bridge the gap before the pumpkins fully take over in preparation for Halloween. But we’ll see I might change it next week 😂

Start a new book with me 😃.

As part of this month’s bookclub @chapter25bookclub we’re reading ‘Katabasis’ by R.F Kuang.

The story explores Alice and Peter’s journey to hell to save their professor, and that is all I know as I try to not read any spoilers. 😜

Initially this is not a book that I would have been drawn to, although I do enjoy Greek Mythology so I’m not sure why. But this is why I like being part of a book club as it encourages me to read outside of my comfort zone. Fingers crossed I like it 🤞🏻.

When I nervously posted my first post 8 weeks ago, I didn’t think anyone would want to view it let alone subscribe. So to be sitting here now with just over 1000 amazing followers is the best feeling ever.

I’ve been a Kindle addict for over 15 years and in all that time I’ve never purchased a Kindle stand 🤯. I have been tempted as I love an accessory, but I also don’t see the point in buying something when alternatives work just as well.

Up until recently, I’ve always used a small circular cushion to rest my Kindle on or I’d prop it up against a pillow when lying down.

That is until I bought a Cuddleez. 🥰

If anyone has ever felt one, you will know that they are amazingly soft and squishy. I now find that I don’t want to read without it, as it allows me to change up my position whether it be lying or sitting and still be extremely comfortable. Plus it’s Stitch, who I adore. 😊

After staying up late last night to finish Legendary, I’m finally starting Finale. I’m so excited to see how the series concludes as I have loved the journey so far. I’m going to be very sad when it ends. 🥰
