since I hit 1.5k followers ✨finally✨ & cut my hair shorter, also gained a year since my last meet the bookstagrammer, I thought I’d do another updated post introducing myself to the grid..

quadrant x viagogo f1 event photo dump ✨💘

yesterday, I was lucky enough to get to go to the quadrant x viagogo f1 event in ldn, f1 arcade.. and what a day it was.

from the constant flow of cocktails throughout the day, to the keyring making station, to the (not pictured) food that was so good, the helmets around the place and most of all.. the amount of F1 friends was crazy good 🙂‍↕️👌🏻

I went to the event on my own, without knowing a single person in the building which was in itself a big scary thing to do, but I left with a group of gals as new friends.

that’s one of my favourite things about quadrant, the community that they are building each event at a time.. and getting to watch the race with likeminded people was the best ✨

six before the end of 2026…

this may come as a shock to everyone (not) lol but I fear I’m in another slump guys.. another SLUMP!!!! & freida’s new book put me there 😭 so I created this six before the end because I do actually want to read all of these for real 🙂‍↕️

they’re in no particular order but there’s quite a mix here from fantasy, romantasy to classic lit and magic to historical fiction, so there’s a bit of everything here. I’ve added TOG to the list because although I’m not 100% sure the ACOTAR series is for me I do feel like I’m reading them out of spite just to see if they’re getting better and better lol but TOG seems a bit more interesting with her being an assassin etc & also on my poll on my stories, almost 80% of you preferred TOG series to ACOTAR which made me think 👀

I’ve had to add a couple of fantasies which include dragons because your gal is missing fourth wing universe after threshing day.. and yeah I still have onyx storm to read but I’m holding out for the fourth book release date before I start that one 👀

I added the great alone as I loveeee historical fiction and I really like the nightingale and the way Kristin Hannah writes so I’m very excited to get stuck into this one, although I have heard it is quite sad? 😭

& Little Women has been added as my first classic read ever, I feel like it’s perfect for this time of year and I really wanna watch the film!

What do we think friends? Should I swap a book out for another or??

Hope you have a lovely Sunday, I’m gonna make a baked apple yogurt bowl with a caramel coffee and start starside I think before the race this afternoon - although I have a bad feeling about this race for LN 🙃

about last night at @londongirlsbookclub_ 💓🍂🙌🏻

what a fun event last night was, when we arrived we got to chat and get to know the gals we were sat with and chat all things books ofc - meeting new friends at these event are what’s one of my fave parts of the evening..

we then got to hear @hollybourneya talk all about her new book, with a hot chocolate and learnt more about the creative processes of writing & what her cafe Nero order is 😏 I will try the new blend next time I’m there 🤣 hearing Holly talk about the research that went into this book before she wrote it and how it relates to her own experiences was so cool! What a woman ♥️🙌🏻 & it ended with a group scream together, if you know.. you know 🙂‍↕️

& then we finished the evening making cosy bookmarks with an autumnal feel and we all know how much I loveeee autumn and this month!

thank you so much to @caitlincurry & @londongirlsbookclub_ for the most perfect evening… I’m so glad my pal @georgiabookedup introduced me to this group ♥️🙌🏻🙂‍↕️

this weeks reads..

after I finished threshing day, which I think got me out of a little slump I was in, I’ve decided these are my 3 books this week (prob month tbf) - I forgot the witch came out yesterday and I have devoured so much of it already.. anything witch??? pls give it to me in an IV drip 💉

I started grim tidings on Monday evening straight after threshing day and honestly it’s taken me by surprise, I’ve not read anything like this before and I’m already more into it at where I am now (20%) than I was when I was reading good spirits last year 🙌🏻

& ofc ACOWAR… I do feel like I need a fantasy book on the go to dip in and out of until the book gets more exciting again, I fear I did this with ACOMAF, I just dipped in and out of it until it picked up a bit more speed at the halfway mark… we’re still in the spring court and reading about Tamlin is doing my head in, but I still really like Lucien 😭

so, who knows how long all 3 books will take to read if I’m dipping in and out of them.. I usually read one book in the morning before starting work, one on my lunch break and 1hr of one in the evening and 1hr of another, but they’re different genres so it works & I never used to be a read 3 books at once kinda gal 😂

hope you’re having a lovely week, already can’t wait to finish work today for the week and chill for the whole weekend until Monday. I’m a tired gal 😭

okaaaay so threshing day. - 5 stars, no notes.. stunning in every single way. - may be spoilers below for fourth wing, iron flame and threshing day 👇🏻♥️

when it was released that Rebecca was bringing out a novella of threshing day, I can’t be the only one that thought.. why do we need this? especially with how short the book is - 200 pages.

girlssss I was so wrong. What an incredible novella.
I loveddddd going back into this world (I’m saving onyx storm for when book 4 is released - and threshing day doesn’t give any onyx storm spoilers away!) and being with our favourite characters. The people I was most looking forward to reading their POVs was Rhiannon, Ridoc & ofc Xaden but they didn’t end up being my faves at all.

Imogen, Garrick, Bodhi, Liam & Sloane’s all became my fave & I did like Xaden’s as well… I love how Xaden was weaved throughout every POV. Guys, I can’t think about Sloane’s chapter without wanting to hysterically cry again. That girl wanted to d*e at threshing and she was saved by not only her dragon, but someone we defo didn’t think would save someone 👀 maybe he’s in his redemption arc??? & Liam with his little mini wooden figurines - this guy 😭 Imogen and Garrick having signets formed because of eachother??? Screaming.. I hope they get a happy ending together 😭

I loved threshing day so much, and I’m rooting for different characters than I was before I started the book.. Empyrean series for life. Roman Empire. Changed my life 🙂‍↕️✨

PS, how cute is my set up for reading in October, I get cosy here every night and my next current reads are alternating between ACOWAR, Grim Tidings & The Witch 🙊🍂

weekend vibes 🍂💓

happy Sunday friends, hope you’re having a lovely weekend… I can’t lie I’ve spent mine yesterday horizontal, watching quali for f1, then a biggggg nap til 2pm & then caught up with the traitors and watched strictly but chilled the whole weekend & today I woke up for a mammoth long f1 race but now it’s time to chill with my current reads, autumnal music in the background, vanilla incense burning, iced psl latte, macarons from Paris & gingerbread and white choc cookies with a roast cooking for later.. such a chill weekend 🙌🏻

incase you missed my story, I’ve booked my next ‘extreme’ day trip and this time it’s solo to Edinburgh for the day next month, fly early and back later… but a dream is to always see that city in autumn, with all the leaves falling & the cosy bookshops and bakeries.. friends, I’m excited.. and if you live there, you have to give me the best recs (pls!)

to paris, with love 💓

so everyone was right, when you go to Paris you fall in love with the city ✨ what a stunning city full of all the famous landmarks, but also full of love & charm. the artists in the street, to the cosy bookshops (I wish I could take pics inside the Shakespeare and Company bookshop, but honestly it was what dreams are made of!)

we flew out on the first flight and flew back on the last and honestly we made the most of our time.. we saw the notre dame, the Shakespeare and company, the lourve, the Eiffel Tower, galleries Lafayette & moulin rogue in montmarte. We had crossiants, French fries, French wine, French onion soup & creme brûlée. I bought a macaron jelly cat, now named Amélie (iykyk) & wuthering heights.. as well as some macrons to enjoy today.

honestly, the best company.. the best time and I’m sure it won’t be the last time I’ll be visiting Paris, considering we’ve now figured the travel system (but damn it’s sooo expensive!!!) 🤣😭

solo shopping for paris day (& threshing day obv) trip for me.. inc this cheese and marmite bun which was absolutely stunning (also be prepared to be absolutely sick of seeing this bag on my feed lol)

tomorrow is Paris day with my bestie & we both have never been before so if you have anyyyy tips & absolute good places for bakery and coffee - maybe a creme brûlée, pls do let me know 🙊🍂🇫🇷✈️

I’m excited but the 2:50am alarm for the morning will be jarring lol

next months (october) hopefuls 🍂

with next month being the start of spooky month, I really want to try and read my first horror book… and I know Misery has been made into a film and my dad really enjoyed the film, but I think it’s got to be one of those that I wanna read the book before seeing the film! I’ve also been so tempted to read a Stephen King for so long, although I have heard this is in 3rd person and I honestly struggle harddddd 😬 so will give it a go!

I’ve had Divine Rivals for a long long time and to me it seems like an October book so I’ve saved that for next month too, and I’m so excited to read it between/after thrillers for sure, I just hope the magic system isn’t hard to understand 👀

I do think I’m over my strop of how much I didn’t reallyyyy like ACOMAF (I mean it was okay on reflection👀) so I’m ready to give ACOWAR a go now! I’ve heard it is a lot more fast paced and a lot more happens in the third book - but if this one doesn’t get me by the very latest 50% mark it’s getting a DNF 👀

And then the bottom 3 are books I really want to get round to reading this month which seem a lot more ‘fun’ (- grim tidings) and look like palette cleansers between maybe Misery & ACOWAR 👀 the one I want to read the most out of the bottom 3 is Grim Tidings for real…

september round up, my fave month of the whole year & it was a busy one at that 🤎

wheeewww so many plans, so many days out, so many friends to see and a couple of events made this month busy busy - but I’m not complaining, ofc!

I started this month by going shopping, I’ve not been able to go shopping for so long but with my contract changing at work it meant I could go and treat myself, and that… I did 👏🏻

Then there was the quadrant x viagogo event which was one of the best days I’ve ever had. F1, sims, new friends and meeting max properly was everything and more.. the hangover the day after tho? not good 🤣

bestie and I went to see practical magic 2 and it surprised me.. it was so good, much better than the first I thought and I really enjoyed it 👏🏻

soph and I met up for a day out in Notting Hill but we didn’t get any pics together that day :(, but book shops and Hugo spritz? Perfect day out.. I love Notting Hill sooo much 👏🏻

Discovering new bookshops and buying a classic book & then going to see Hamilton and the new cast was sooo good, I miss the old cast though and I’m not sure any cast will beat the 2021/22 cast for me lol & also I went to my first in person book club for fourth wing which meant meeting new friends and having a great ole time! Alas, since then I have been sick so not a great end to the month!

alas, I had so much fun this month and new month will be starting off great with a Paris trip hehehe, I’m excited!
