What a great book! This book was so refreshing... 📖 Sadie, a cross between Alexis Schitt and Elle Woods, has found herself on a 12-day hike in the mountains. She is convinced that she needs to show everyone, mostly herself, that she can, indeed do it. What she doesn't expect is a hot tour guide that gives her butterflies and to have to leave half her pack at the beginning since it is impractical...This was a fun read and I had a great time annotating this one. Don't have as many followers as other people? 🖐🏼Five ways to get approved for ARCs with under 1,000 followers. 1. Write personalized requests - Sending emails to publishers is a great way to receive books! ASK! Make your requests personalized, tell them who you are, what book you are requesting and why. 2. Review every book you receive - I know this seems crazy to some people, but this builds trust. If Avon sends you a book, read it, review it, and then send an email back with the coverage you did on the book. This builds trust and means you are more likely to receive more books in the future. Don't have time to read and review right now? Feature it! Tag the author and publisher, think of this as your thank you card. 3. Request books that fit your niche - We all get book crazy at times. We start requesting all of the books only to realize, we are looking for quanitity over quality to what fits our niche and vibe. Request books that fit YOU. That being said, it is okay to post books out of your niche too. There are many bookstagramers who read and review ALL types of books (@bethanyburiedinbooks is a great example of this).4. Show up consistently- Publishers are not going to be interested in sending you a book when you have only posted once in June. There are plenty of easy posts you can make to keep your account active. (@bookrecsbykara has some great posting ideas pinned at the top of her page).5. Do your research - This sort of goes with #1, look for the email addresses to send to the right people. [ BOOK • REVIEW ] Yeah yeah .. The algorithm doesn't want reviews. BUT that's one of the main reasons I'm here so READ THIS BOOK!!🤍Devney Perry is one of my favorite authors. She can just write it all and will always be an auto-read author for me. I do not even need to read a synopsis... 📖Isla has moved into her late dads home to clean up everything he left behind. She has a semester to get everything up to par and put the house on the market, and a LOT to do. But when she starts realizing she is being stalked by a mask man outside her house, things start to get a little hairy. Unfortunately, Cosi, the Sheriff, is unable to find any footprints in the snow to prove that there is someone keeping an eye on Isla. But when her shed is burned down, he starts to realize there is something he is missing. The local hotel is closed for the season, and with no where to go, Cosi brings Isla to his place until they can figure out where she goes from here and if they can find the arsonist. However Isla happens to also be Cosi's son, Spencer's, teacher. 📝This is a slow burn romance with lots of twists and turns throughout the way. The tension is well done, the suspense is well done, the character building... perfection. I didn't even see the ending coming. [ BOOK • REVIEW ] Thank you @clairecainwriter and @bookedwiththeemilys for letting me be apart of this tour ! 📖Gah! I loved Sam and Grant's story. Grant Ryan was the perfect kind of grumpy to Sam's sunshine. This slow burn romantic suspense was just what I needed in an audiobook this week. Sam is trying to start over with her sweet little cat, after leaving an abusive marriage. Grant is the sheriff of the small town, and has full custody of his late best friends two girls. Single dad, grumpy and sheriff? Yes please. The whole Ryan family is perfect and I can't wait to read more books in this series!
