Today’s the day! You can watch Spreadsheet Champions at home, at school or at work, globally.

Almost seven years ago, Kristina sent me an article and said, “Can you believe there’s a competition about Microsoft Excel — and I don’t think anyone has made a documentary about it yet. Should we do it?”

What followed were years of development, hundreds of Zoom calls at ungodly hours, over 18 international flights, and six extraordinary students whose stories we’ve been able to capture.

With the support of a lot of very, very talented (and patient) creatives, we were able not only to finish Spreadsheet Champions but to see it premiere at festivals around the world. We saw it screen to four sold-out audiences at our home festival, MIFF — and now you can see it too!
The film is available to rent for a 24-hour watch window at SpreadsheetChampions.com.

Releasing the film this way means it will be available everywhere, all at once, not behind streaming paywalls, making it easy for students, teachers, parents, and friends to get together and enjoy the journey of our Excel-lent students.

We are, and will be forever, grateful to Alkmini, Braydon, Carmina, Mason, Nam, and Yvan DLP for letting us tell their stories. We hope that now more people around the world can see just how important it is to follow your passions.
