5 years ago I made a deal with God that if I didn’t get this hotel job, I’d start a business. I suggest above all, you take a chance on yourself, you work hard, and even with faith as small as a mustard seed, everything will always work out ❤️

Happy 5 years Char’s Bar, and what a journey I wouldn’t trade for the world. Thankful for the girls that see it through with me, that sit with me, that learn with me and continue to grow with me/us. It’s truly an honor, and always a privilege. I am grateful I get to be here, and that I’m still in this game. Never in a million years would I thought to be an business owner but girl, we’re here.

I’m grateful for it all, grateful for my partner in crime @shellaaaaay for believing in this, to those who speak life into this, for those who push me to keep going. I love yall down.

Everyone go congratulate @shellaaaaay right now for winning 1st in her weight class, and being the cutest powerlifter ever 🥺❤️ 413lbs squat, 242lbs bench, and a 485lbs deadlift putting her in 1st place at her FIRST regional meet. So strong + so kind.

Didn’t get much photos/vids this past weekend, but I’ve been holding on for dear life for this weekend. Forgot how much I loved the powerlifting scene/community, and I hope all my friends still continue to do it 🥰❤️ by @charissardd

August forced me to speed up yet somehow slow down all in a matter of moments. Shared some of my best times with my most prized people, all while simultaneously grieving and shedding old skins and beliefs. 🥺❤️ I prayed for more, recieved more, and I am grateful to always have the capacity to do more. I achieved some pretty cool dreams, got to connect with some really good people, and overall found myself falling back in love with Char’s Bar.

A year ago we finally had a free weekend to go to MIH and the room was massive. And I was in awe. And I got to see some of my favorite business/people and I remember being so inspired, wondering what it felt like to be in a room like this, and if Char’s Bar could ever make sense.

A year later, and we’re in the room 🥺💙 and we got to partner with the coolest @hawaiiantelcom 🦋

It was an honor to share a space with businesses you see everywhere and friends who you see work tremendously hard. Thankful I even got a glimpse of what its like. Grateful I took on the challenge, and excited that maybe this opens a new door/product for Char’s bar.

Nonetheless, thank you guys for supporting this journey. Char’s bar came from a 25 yr old who just wanted to make drinks in peoples homes, so thank you for pushing me always. Truthfully I am so grateful.

Shout out to @shellaaaaay for loving this as much as I do, @oahustylingco for the amazing set up, @ysabellaa.marie + @itschanelleeyy for being my right hand gals, and @hawaiiantelcom for wanting us to be a part of this ✨

10 years ago I didn’t know what I wanted to do in life. I was failing undergrad, had no sense of direction, and was truthfully really lost. 10 years later and I am everything 20 year old Charissa hoped to be, and more. 🥺❤️
