Today I got to show the world my commitment to live through Christ. If you know me you know my relationship with God is something so important to me. These past few years I have truly and deeply felt how much that relationship carries me through every season of my life.

My family has always gone to church, ever since I was a little girl. I have always had a relationship with the Lord, but I wanted my own story to share. Through the past couple of years I have built that relationship with my own struggles and my own doubts. I have grown tremendously and that is only thanks to God.

A chapter I never wanted to end

For the last few days I’ve been trying to find the words to say. I’ve come to realize there are none. No words can describe how much this team has truly changed my life. There are no words to explain to people what this team has meant to me and how much it hurts me knowing I will never put on the orange and white uniform ever again. No one truly knows how to prepare you for your last game with the people you grew up, yet I am so grateful I get to feel this kind of hurt. I’m so grateful to have a team and coaches that are worth missing. God truly did bless me with the best girls to be around. I wouldn’t trade a single of those moments on that field with them for anything.

Thank you Orangefield softball for growing me into the person I am and giving me girls who became my family.

Today I get to announce something little me thought only was a dream. This next chapter felt so far away yet here it is. Little me is so proud. Getting to celebrate something so meaningful with the best people is truly a blessing.

You may read this with every commitment post, but I can’t go without thanking my parents. The never ending practice days, early mornings, late nights, and long drive; they were always there. There was never a doubt in my mind whether they would show up for me. They have truly been the best parents I could ever ask for. Not just teaching me how to play the game but how to play it with praise. In every play of every game, they have taught me to honor the Lord. They’ve taught me that every opportunity I have gotten has been from God and to play for him and only him. Learning that from a young age has truly shaped me into the person and player I am today. Thank you Mom and Dad, I wouldn’t be who I am without you guys.

To all the coaches in my life, your hard work has never gone unnoticed. Thank you for the many hours you have put into me. I will be forever grateful for everything you guys have ever given me and will take the lessons I have learned from yall with a grateful heart.
