Almost a year ago, I announced to my friends & family at my birthday party for the first time that I was going to start pursuing one of my dreams in stand up comedy. I never once believed that less than a year later, I would be offered my own show at Broadway Comedy Club - “The Charles Happel Show!” And to then think I would sell out 75 tickets with two weeks left to the show with many more wanting to come! I was so honored @jenniferbassey1 an Emmy award winning actress from “All My Children” would join my set! It was my honor to choose to do this show as a fundraiser for childhood cancer in honor of my mother who lost her life to this horrible disease. We raised thousands of dollars in ticket sales alone for this amazing cause for @alexslemonade. To think in less than 9 months - I would have a newspaper spread, a tv interview, my own website, perform the 2nd largest casino in the nation Mohegan Sun, and now - my own “The Charles Happel Show!” I cannot wait to see where this journey takes me. I am so thankful and I know my mom you are looking down on me and I know you are guiding me in all of this. I appreciate so much @xiemcass Christie Fischer for coming all the way in from PA to explain to my audience where the funding would be going. I want to thank all of my incredible comics, my friends and family who made this all possible, my best friend @brittneybass for helping me set up this show, and my boyfriend @mikecass187 for dealing with my shit & still supporting me for months lol. Thank you @drewtessiernyc and @broadway_comedy_club for believing in me to pull this off! One day I will sell out Madison Square Garden!
