26 | I make music sometimes | Check out Daft Punk’s new single “Get Lucky” if you get the chance. Sound of the Summer

POSTS STORIES REELS

Here's an EP called Lunar Panic.

I recorded these during the summer but between Japan, school, and various other influences abandoned this style for something different.

These four songs are mostly like my first album but have some unique traits like the first recordings to feature me on keyboards and an instrumental track that was left unfinished (After a few takes I quickly learned I wrote the song very outside of my vocal range).

Anyway, thanks again to Brad for contributing Bass and Drums and letting me use his homemade studio. I have begun work on a proper second album but life is very busy so it's a slow process.

I hope these songs are decent! You can find them on my Bandcamp in my bio. Youtube soon. by @charlesgr25

Japan Photo dump.

I’m jet lagged and miss it already. Visiting was a dream of mine and I’ve finally achieved it. We made many friends, spend too much money, and of course made countless memories. I uploaded a video on my channel of all the things I bought lol

I don’t think I can easily put it all into words. So enjoy these pictures! by @charlesgr25

Red Vox video dump! Fourth time seeing one of my favorite bands ever! I paid a little extra to get a VIP ticket which got me really close to the stage and early access to the venue for an intimate bonus set with a Q&A. I also got to talk to Vinny and the band and tell them how inspiring they’ve been to me! When the show started I stayed towards to back and chilled and even chatted a bit with the frontman of Les Vinyl, the opener! (who were also great). Not pictured is the merch I got including the last two Red Vox vinyl I needed, two Les Vinyl CD’s, and a pin. Also the VIP ticket included a keychain, guitar pick, and signed poster so hell yeah! Thank you to Vinny and the band. I can’t to see you all next time! by @charlesgr25

Went to NYC to watch the Knicks but accidentally went to Distant Worlds instead. Uematsu showed up and I spent way too much money! by @charlesgr25

This is Intrusive Thoughts, my first album released today June 12th, 2026. You can listen to it on my Bandcamp in the link in my bio.

For years I always told myself I wanted to make music. At least since getting a guitar in 2017. But it was mostly fantasizing as I never really touched my guitar. Fast forward to the beginning of 2025, I made my New Year’s Resolution to properly learn guitar and try my best to play daily. While I’m still not great I slowly found myself writing pieces of songs.

April 2026 I felt confident in a song I wrote and asked my friend Brad if he could help me record it in his home studio. What I thought would mostly be a one off quickly turned into the idea that I could make an album over the summer. Well. Summer has yet to begin. And the album is complete.

I don’t know what to say. It doesn’t feel real. Never thought I’d do this. A huge thank you to Brad for his assistance in guiding me and playing drums, bass, and keys. I would also like to thank all my friends I mentioned this album to and/or showed snippets. I don’t know what genre to describe this music. Indie rock? Idk. But while I don’t think any of them will ever see this, thank you to all of my influences. There’s over a dozen different artists I drew from but it was the likes of Red Vox, Pulp, and Sleater-Kinney I pulled the most inspiration from.

Oh no I’ve rambled for too long. This album is very personal to me. I’m trying my best not to be embarrassed by what I wrote about and what goes on in my head but here we are. It’s not perfect. Sometimes I play chords poorly or my voice sounds flat. But it’s mine.

Anyway, if anyone here decides to listen to any of the songs, please let me know! Tell me if you liked it or hated it or whatever! I don’t know what’s next, but I can’t wait!

Intrusive Thoughts:

1. Outta The Woods
2. A New Day (Coming Down)
3. Intrusive Thoughts
4. Life is Strange
5. Only We Understand
6. A Brief Respite
7. The Ego Jam
8. Farther
9. Self Immolation
10. Rebound
11. How Not to Spiral

Drove 7 hours this weekend to Virginia to see Katie! I bought games, records, and met cool people. If I had a nickel for every time I went to a store called Video Game Heaven I’d have three nickels. by @charlesgr25

Hello, here is a song I wrote, recorded, sang, and played guitar on. Is it good? I don’t know. This is only the second song I’ve ever written in full. If you would like to listen to the whole thing there is a link to a bandcamp page in my bio. Thank you to Brad for playing bass, drums, and producing it. There will be more to come.

First Magfest it was fucking awesome. The venue was gorgeous, I met so many nice people, watched so many concerts both big and small, and even got to finally go to a Thrown Controllers. When I went into this it was very much “I’ll go once, just to see what the hype is all about”. But I’ve only been home for an hour and I already wanna go back so badly. by @charlesgr25

2025 is coming to a close so here are some of the best moments. A lot happened! This past year I resumed college with a new major, made a bunch of dumb videos for my store, went to a ton of concerts, and learned guitar. Thanks to my friends, family, and Jarvis Cocker. See you in 2026! by @charlesgr25

I waited in line for almost six hours for the Smiling Friends pop up and won a pin. Would I do that again? Of course not but it was definitely a day to remember! Also I literally watched someone a towards the front of the line steal a box full of Alan figures and got recognized from my store multiple times so that was wild. by @charlesgr25

A year ago I barely knew who Pulp were. Here we are now, they’re one of my favorite bands, I’ve bought their albums, books, and now finally have seen them live. And it was just as awesome as I imagined it. Jarvis Cocker has the best stage presence I have ever seen from an act and the presentation and lighting of the show was also spectacular (along with the music itself of course). Hearing Common People live and singing along with the crowd will forever be ingrained in my memory. I also went home with a shirt, tote bag, keychain, and a signed record which I am very happy about. I will absolutely see them again. Till next time.
