From the grill to the table 🍗

A recap showing some of the other cuisine the Royal Delights Catering team prepared for our General Manager's wedding. The feast featured yet another spread worth remembering.

For this serving, home-grown chickens were expertly roasted to perfection, bringing together rich flavour, beautiful presentation and the kind of hearty cuisine that makes a celebration feel like home. #zimbabwechicken

Alongside the roasted chicken came a colourful selection of fresh vegetables and accompaniments, all prepared and served for the wedding of Charles Myambo and his Queen.

The same trusted catering team. A different cuisine. The same commitment to serving food that looks as good as it tastes.

Because every great meal begins with someone.

Now THIS is how you know the food is doing its job. 😂🍗

Plates are out, people are serving themselves, and nobody is standing around pretending they’re not going back for seconds.

This spread was prepared by our friends at Tee’s Kitchen, a fast-rising catering team in Harare, and we had to show some love because this is exactly the kind of food experience we want to share.

Good food. Plenty of it. People coming together. And that familiar feeling of looking at your plate and thinking, “Ko handisi kuzowedzerwawo chikafu here?” 😂

For us as Zimbabweans, these are the moments that make food special. It doesn't always have to be fancy.

Sometimes it's simply a proper plate of sadza, ka beef stew, huku yako, ma veggie, usavi and good company. #huku

And honestly, that chicken is looking dangerous. 👀

Big shoutout to Tee’s Kitchen for putting this spread together.

Fellow Zimbos, what are you reaching for first?

The chicken? The sadza? The potato wedges? Or are you going straight for the beef stew? 😂👇🏾

Zimbabwean wedding deserves a Zimbabwean feast. 🇿🇼

For the wedding of our General Manager, Charles Myambo and his wife, Mrs Kimberly Myambo, the menu was always going to be more than just food. It had to reflect who we are as Zimbabweans and the flavours that have always brought our people together.

And at the heart of the feast was this timeless classic: sadza and beef stew.

Soft, hearty sadza served alongside richly prepared beef stew, complemented by an array of wedding favourites including rice, roasted chicken, coleslaw, broccoli, carrots and more. It was a beautiful blend of traditional Zimbabwean food and familiar contemporary favourites, prepared to feed nearly 300 wedding guests.

The food was prepared and served by Royal Delights Catering, and we are pleased to share this experience as part of our ongoing journey to document and celebrate Zimbabwean food, culinary culture and food tourism.

Charles and Kimberly paid Royal Delights in full for their catering services, and both the newlyweds and their guests were thoroughly pleased with what was delivered. From the quality and variety of the food to the professionalism of the catering team, the experience was one that left a lasting impression.

Royal Delights Catering brings together highly skilled private chefs and caterers, providing catering services for weddings, bridal showers, roora days / marooro celebrations, birthdays, anniversaries, corporate and business events, and other special occasions.

With catering labour prices ranging from approximately US$3 to US$9 per plate, they offer flexible options for those looking for experienced professionals to handle the food at their next event.

And this feast was enjoyed at Living Rock, a state-of-the-art wedding venue in Waterfalls, Harare, offering a spacious setting for large celebrations.

At TastyTouriZim, we believe food is more than something we eat. It tells our stories, connects generations and takes us on a culinary adventure.

This is Zimbabwean food tourism, one plate at a time.

What local classic you'd have at your special day?

I present to you Mr. & Mrs. Myambo 🙏🏽❤️

On Saturday, my Queen and I officially tied the knot! 🥹❤️

We got engaged in May, our lobola was in August, and then September brought us our wedding day. What a journey it has been! And this is my first time posting any of it - Sometimes God moulds the best things in SECRET if we Allow HIM....

The wedding ceremony itself had a fantastic turnout, with relatives and close friends coming in their numbers to support us, celebrate with us, and witness the beginning of this beautiful new chapter.

God is good. God is faithful. 🙌🏾

Our theme verse was Ecclesiastes 4:12:

“A cord of three strands is not easily broken.”

My wife and I, with God right at the centre — exactly where He belongs. 🙏🏽❤️

To God be all the glory. 🙌🏾 Alt text: Charles and his wife Kim, now Mr. and Mrs. Myambo, celebrating their wedding day surrounded by family and close friends, with a joyful and God-centred message reflecting their journey from engagement to marriage. by @charlesmyambo

There’s just something about eating like this. 🇿🇼

No fancy cutlery. No complicated menu.

Just a good plate of sadza, some meat nema veggie, and people you actually want to sit with.

And if you grew up in Zimbabwe, you already know the food is only half the experience.

It’s the “wedzera sadza”.

The extra piece of beef someone quietly puts on your plate.

The conversations that somehow last longer than the meal.

And that one person who says they’re full… then goes back for seconds. 😂

That’s the Zimbabwe we know. #ZimFood

At TastyTouriZim, we want to explore those everyday food moments — from Harare food spots and traditional Zimbabwean restaurants to family kitchens, local dishes and the people who keep these flavours alive. #HarareFood

Because for us, food isn't just something we eat.

It’s home. It’s memory. It’s connection.

Fellow Zimbos, what’s one Zimbabwean meal you could eat any day without getting tired of it? #africanmeals TastyTouriZim graphic showing a group of Zimbabweans sharing a traditional meal together, with sadza and other Zimbabwean dishes on the table. More than a meal. It’s a connection. 🇿🇼

If there’s one thing we Zimbabweans know, it’s that food brings people together.

A plate of sadza, some nyimo, mbudzi, beans and whatever else is on the table can turn an ordinary day into a proper memory. And honestly, some of our best conversations happen around food. #TraditionalFood

That’s what we want to explore with TastyTouriZim — the food we grew up eating, the people behind it, the places where it’s made, and the stories that make Zimbabwean cuisine what it is. #africanfoods

From Harare and beyond, we’re looking for the meals, kitchens and experiences worth talking about. #Harare

We eat. We explore. We share.

And fellow Zimbos, we want you along for the journey.

There’s a lot of Zimbabwe to discover… and some of it is best discovered with a plate in front of you. 🇿🇼

We all have that one meal.

The one you can smell before it reaches the table. The one that reminds you of home. The one that makes you say, “Ah, this is proper food!” 😂

For us, food exploration isn't just about finding somewhere new to eat. #hararefoodies

It’s about finding the stories behind the food. Meeting the people who make it. Discovering places we might have driven past a hundred times. And appreciating the flavours and traditions that make Zimbabwean cuisine our own.

From Harare food spots to hidden gems around the country, we're here to explore Zimbabwe one plate at a time.

And honestly, we can't wait to take you with us.

Fellow Zimbos, where should we eat first? 👀🇿🇼
